• [resolved] STUDENT DISCOUNT CUTS? :-(

Anyone seen the cuts coming to the student discount from 30% off down to 20% off? Its hard to purchase the things I want out of logos being a student. I have to admit the discount is a huge help and draw but to lower it is a sad day for me. [:'(] :(

  • Re: How accurate is the exegetical guide?

Thank you Francis. So, basically the Lexham glossary is what is being shown after the parsing? The Lexham glossary is trying to describe the syntactical usage? It just seems to me it may not be very accurate. Like I said, I found only one word but I wonder how many may be untrustable. I know some of the syntactic usages can be more than one choice but

  • How accurate is the exegetical guide?

Hello everyone, I was doing some work on a word in Matthew 28:19. The first Greek word is the participle poreuthentes and the exegetical guide says it is syntactically a contemporaneous participle with a citation of Wallace. However, when I looked at Wallace, he says it is an attendant circumstance participle and cites this very passage and goes into

  • Looking for direction, can Logos 6 do this?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some direction on how to do this. 1. When I hover my mouse over Greek or Hebrew word I get a white pop up box with parsing. Does anyone know how I can increase the size of this box? I would like to see the fonts a little bigger and better so can this be done? 2. When using Hebrew, I get parsing but not a definition of

  • Re: B.H.Stuttgartensia problems

I see that my complication to this is a bug that Bradley reported in his link. I opened a Lexham Hebrew Bible and this is correctly displaying the numbers.
There are several editions of the BHS available in Logos. It would help if you could tell us which edition you are using.
It is the BHS: with Werkgroep informatica, Vrije Universiteit Morphology. (The BHS with morph analysis from Werkgroep Informatica)

  • [acknowledged]B.H.Stuttgartensia problems

Does anyone else have this issue with their BSH Hebrew bible? All the verses are being read back words. Instead of it displaying for example 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, etc.; it is displaying the verses as 51, 61, 71,81,91, 02. What is this about? I noticed this with the new update. Are you all seeing this same thing in your BHS?

Here is what I did to fix my situation. I did not use app zapper but used my other trusty "trash me." I dragged and dropped logos into trash me. Bam it was gone. THen went ahead and downloaded a fresh install as if it was just purchased. I know some of you told me not to do this but I did anyway. Well it worked, my macbook pro has a fresh L6 install

Thank you Alabama24, I tried this as you suggested. It did take up HD space as well. It opened and asked for the update. I did the update and same small rectangular box appears saying update error as the photo shown in my previous post. So it did not work. I guess I'll have to call logos I.T. about this tomorrow. It did not write over the old version

  • Re: Logos 6.1 SR-1 (6.1.0.0024) now available

Hello Mike, so you suggest just going to my orders and click on the link and redownload it? This should write over the older files and thus send them to the trash automatically? I just don't want to have HD space taken up by duplicate files. THis sounds easy enough.

Thank you Lynden, I'm not exactly sure I found my issue in that link. As to reinstalling the app. I guess I could redownload the whole thing again. I have "app zapper" on my mac as well. What this does is it completely deletes all files and threads related to an app plus the app itself. ANother words, I could drag logos into the trash and hit delete
Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, try downloading the engine and installing manually.
So you are saying to reinstall the whole program? I did try two restarts with no success. So do I delete the current app and then reinstall the app? Wont this take hours?

I see the update. I am on a macbook pro. I click on to install updates. It has I waited till 100% completed on the top right corner. Then clicked to install it (recommended). Then the "Logos Bible Software Update Installer" pops up on the doc and Logos shuts off as normal. It says it is extracting update with the little rectangular box. Then the little

Well I just watched the webinar. He started to introduce what its about and I thought he was going to walk through an example text in Greek but he did not. I thought he was going to work on a text using the bundle and showing what it can do to give greater insight and depth. I did feel he was trying to sell it and his commentaries. The commentaries

Just curious, why do I hear people on the webinar and sometimes when I call in to Logos, pronounce it "low goes" as in a logo on a sign. They don't pronounce it in the Koine? Why? Is it not λογος? Just wondering why the word is not pronounced right.

Thank you all, I'll try the webinar and thank you for the heads up on the sales pitch. Being that I already have it I'm already a bit down (on the webinar) on it because I want to see what this can do and the purpose of it. Show me, why is it so good? Again, much thanks and if anyone else knows let me know.

  • Lexham Hebrew Discourse bundle: High Def OT and High Def NT

Hello everyone, Does anyone know of videos done on Steven Runge's collections to better understand and use these collections? I've been playing around with the OT bundle and I'm not convinced I am using it most wisely. (or that I'm getting out of it what Runge wanted me to) I would like to know how to get the most out of this resource. I would like
