• Re: Shut Down the Forum............Are you Crazy?
There seems to be alot of people continuously using it not to like it. HMMMMMM!!!!
I'm one of them. I keep trying to like it. But it's just so clunky compared to the newsgroups. But since it is unlikely to convince people that an old technology actually is better, we're stuck with them. So I'm trying to like it
I'm interested in your feedback on our new web forums. Do you prefer this to the NNTP newsgroups? Are there advantages/disadvantages?
I've been trying to be fair, but this format is just too clunky to be useful. It's impossible to follow a conversation, navigation is time consuming (especially when compared to newsgroups

  • Re: Sound Off: How Many Resources?

2,911 (includes over 850 PBB's, and a few help files). So just over 2000 Libronix resources. (Many of the PBB's are duplicated by Libronix resources that came out later. I've got to go through those and clean them out.)

  • Re: Out sourcing
Ok, I have had a wild idea lately about how logos might be able to punch out more books and we the reader can have books that we love. What if you outsourced the general typing of the books to owners of logos. Let us type up a book for you and then you can add all the awesome linking and stuff. But a majority of the work
I know of a fellow on the Textual Criticism list named "James Snapp" who has put this forward. I wouldn't precisely call him a scholar, but he's continually attempting to establish the validity of such things as the Pericope Adultera and the ending of Mark. I think the archives are open so you could find it. The problem
So, back to the question. Do you think the certainty of our proofs that the text is not original, is at the same level with both those scripture portions?
I heard a Bible scholar discuss this once. He reported that Sinaiticus (I think that was the one) had a blank section after the accepted ending of Mark, as
Do you like having a startup sound in Logos Bible Software? Is it enough that you can turn it off in preferences, or should we just get rid of it? Or do you like it? In the next version, should we go to the trouble to create a new sound? Can a little audio logo, or bumper music, get you into the mood to start your study
Phil: Is it possible just to clarify, In use, would there be any actual difference in between using the new ESVSB and using an existing 'plain' ESV plus the study notes? i.e. Would the links and footnotes etc. appear the same? From the products page, remove the stuff about the ESV itself and there does not seem to be any
I remeber years ago I preached on the JOhn 5:1-17 about the man at Bethesda. For those people it was for the first time somebody told them the verse 3b and 4 is not part of the original story, but some kind of popular belief.
I'm importing a large number of sermons - 1000 plus. I've edited details on all files in the list and they are checked done. The grey 'compile' button will not allow me to click compile and finish the work. What is the solution? I fear losing hours of work in editing the list. Note, there are 500 or so files that were in

  • Adopt forum software that allows posting/reading from NNTP

I've been looking around the internet (there sure is a lot of stuff there), and I stumbled across a few sites that use a web based forum that can also be read from/posted to via NNTP.The web-based part of the structure looked appealing (I can't speak to the NNTP part, since I didn't bother subscribing -- but NNTP is a pretty straightforward protocol

If I dig way back into my memory, I pull out something that I think is a response to this problem: After you refresh, restart Logos, let it fully find all resources. Then shut down and restart to restore your KeyLinks.

I've not done too much with the RSS feeds, but have seen it's advantage when looking at blogs. Also, it seems to allow you to look at the direct responses to various posts. {snip} If nothing else
