• Re: Beta (Build 47) "crash"

I just installed and tried out Vyrso 2.0.9 (Build 42). It has the same problem. To say it's unresponsive is not quite right. And I do not get an ANR. All menu functions simply return me to the reading mode. By all menu I mean all the real-estate given to the menu so in this case 80% of the screen is devoted to 4 tabs of menu (library, search, news, settings

Update: To make it easier on myself (rather than install and try it out and then restore to previous version of the app) I try out the Vyrso app on the rooted Sony Ereader. The Vyrso app behaves in the same way for me. I'm now on version 2.0.7 (Build 40). Surprisingly, I can (momentarily) get the menu to become responsive again by recalling a "Favorite

  • Re: Rooted Simple Touch 2.0

NYSERVANT, I'm a rooted nook user. When you say version 2.0 you must mean the android app version rather than the version of simple nook. Some call the nook simple touch with glowlight 2.0 or N2E or a second edition of the N.S.T. Either way, the nook has a firmware edition 1.1.2 maybe and so far is still limited to android version 2.1. Accompanying

Maybe I should have had the word "Bug" in the subject line. There's been no response so far.

  • Beta (Build 47) "crash"

Running a rooted Sony ereader (PRS-T1), with Android 2.2, and Logos Bible App build 47 seems to crash. App works great the first time running. But after some moves (going to library, or home, or search or settings) that set of menu options stops working. Upon selection of Library, Search, Home or Settings, it will always just go back to reading view

  • Re: Verse navigator not working

I really appreciate the work you have done to make Logos' app run on Android 2.1. I'm one of the few running Logos for Android on a rooted Nook Touch. The navigation works great again in Beta version 1.1.2 and now the "Favorites" too. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the quick response. In the meantime I reinstalled Logos4. Only hangup is I had to recompile all my Personal Books. (was actually hoping they would be synced )

  • 4.5b SR-3 Indexer Crash

Recently I hid quite a number of resources and thought I'd just run the "rebuild index" command. Since then the indexer crashes after a minute of trying. I tried manually removing the old index files according to the forums. In desperation I also deleted some resources such as KJV1900 and NASB95 from the resources directory. Still crashes. Maybe the

  • Bug: Logos Android BETA Navigation within Resource fails.

I'm using the Android Beta app version 1.0.2 and trying to maneuver through a Bible or a commentary by Bible reference. Using the new "verse or contents" pane I can enter the passage manually or by tapping the appropriate regions. For example, when I'm open somewhere in the NIV (1984) resource and I try to tap the book, then chapter, then verse I get

  • bug: Library position lost Android Beta 1.0.2

When working in the library and initiating a download of one of the resources, then pressing back returns me to the top (alphabetically) of the library again. What this means is when I try to download all my books with the letter z, I have to scroll through the entire library for each book. The stable version didn't have this problem; it wouldn't "forget

  • Re: Best Android Tablet?

The Best: The Nook Touch. It has an E-ink screen and costs around a hundred dollars. Only one catch: you need your geeky nephew to root it first. And rooting just changed depending on which version of Nook firmware you have. The nook is the best reader. If you want to do Bible Study use a laptop or a iPad, but for reading the nook wins.
This software is in my estimation worth more than we are charged for it.
I certainly agree. Especially since I haven't paid for any software yet. (I've only paid for the resources that come in Logos' proprietary format).

  • PB - Comma-separated reference

I'm looking for an easy way to make a double reference (consecutive) to show up as a single. Eg. John 3:16, 17 is computed separately by book builder. Two verses, two hovers, two balloon tips. I would like John 3:16, 17 to act like John 3:16-17. How do I do that? I tried [[John 3:16, 17>>Jn3:16-17]] but I get a double layered balloon tip. (the top portion

  • Re: Windows Restore loses recent syncing.

I gave it some time. Now, to make sure it syncs. I'm not sure if a Windows Image Restore changes the timestamp to the moment of restoring, making the restoration of the old o.s. "new". Besides the snapshots (layouts) not being synced, are the hidden resources under tools-program settings getting synced? I hid a lot of Perseus stuff, but now, after restoring

  • Re: Windows Restore loses recent syncing.

Thanks. From your reply it seems it should be working- and that time-stamp idea is a good way to do it. I was quite sure that my recent layouts would have become available after syncing a few times. Maybe I'm wrong about what I got done in 5 days.

  • Windows Restore loses recent syncing.

When my computer goes down I restore the system from a windows image (made by win 7). Restoring the image brings my computer back to that previous day (eg: day1). That's good. The problem though, is that somehow the Logos servers do not update my restored computer. Instead my restored computer "updates" the cloud and I lose all changes I made since

  • Shortcut Menu dropdown

Maybe someone else has already suggested it, or there is already a trick to it, but I'm looking for a folder icon in the shortcut bar (top center of logos where you drag shortcuts to). I would like a dropdown submenu, let's say based on collections or manually selected. So with hovering (or clicking) on the folder icon a list of resources will be listed

  • Personal Book Endnotes bug?

I'm happy with the Personal Book builder when it comes to footnotes. But now I'm trying to make a book that has endnotes. Each article in this book marks a new section. So endnote numbers restart at 1 for each article (like chapter endnotes). Anyway my docx file works fine: the numbers get reused for each section. But when it compiles in Logos, there
