  • Re: S.G. de Graaf - "Promise and Deliverance"

It's public domain in the sense that their are pdf's floating around of this 4volume work by the publisher ( http://www.reformationalpublishingproject.com/rpp/paideia_books.asp ). I, too, would like to benefit from your work in building a PB.

  • Re: Bug: PB compiling glitch for text reference

I tried the rtf thing, but that didn't help. I tried many strings like it, and they all worked. So in the end I have it working. I completely erased the line (context and all) and typed the line again. Too bad I don't know the cause of it. But I consider this resolved.

Okay, I tried that and we have the same result still. B.t.w I didn't use spaces on any of the other references, but I thought I'd give your suggestion a try anyway.

I've attached another log (just for variety). This time I waited for one of the updates to get out of the way. 5468.2011-08-03-22-52-01.txt

  • Bug: PB compiling glitch for text reference

I've attached an image, where the first paragraph is the excerpt from the docx, and the second paragraph is the resulting excerpt in the PB. Notice that John 14:15-31 did not encode properly, while the text before and after did. Could be my syntax, but I don't see it... I'm running Beta 4.30.0.1516.

Hopefully the attachment works. Thanks for the catlog suggestion. I can recreate the problem in many different ways, but unlike Randy, I don't think this has to do with resource licenses, since I do not get that information window. 8475.2011-08-02-20-05-58.txt

  • Re: bug: Android Vyrso crashes when trying to open resource

Maybe I wasn't clear. I have the libary (list of books and their little title pictures) running in my Android Vyrso App. Some resources allow for downloading some don't. My library is "available" in the sense that it knows what books I have and which ones I don't. Whether I download for offline use, or try to use a resource while online it will crash

  • bug: Android Vyrso crashes when trying to open resource

I realize Vyrso is in beta, and so is the Logos App for Android. The apps are indistinguishable at this point including how they crash on my machine. The app installs correctly, signs in correctly, and downloads my "library" correctly. Opening a resource, whether downloaded or streamed live will bring up the swirly circle thingy (meaning for you to

  • Re: Looking for a Touch Screen Laptop/ Tablet.

One up from a netbook is the Asus Eee Slate. In Canada you can find them at BestBuy. Model EP121. It is a Tablet running Win 7 Home Edition and has a decent processor (i5-470uM). Downside: battery life. I tried one out on display, and I figured touch-screen and Win 7 aren't good buddies yet.

With respect to a Logos Android App I'd like to make a few comments so that my assumptions can be corrected. I suspect that the version of the Android is not going to be the challenge for most people who eagerly await the advent of the Logos App. I have a cheap tablet (Archos 7 Home Tablet) which though it runs Android 2.1 Eclair is limited to the manufacturer

  • 64 bit Logos 4

Are there definite plans to make a 64 bit application of Logos 4? At this point I have a 64bit hardware, and a 64bit Operating System with L4 as a 32bit application. This is not a question of compatibility, since I recognize that a 32bit program has no trouble running on a 64bit OS.

  • Citation correction

Logos 4 allows for typos to be reported. Just today I was citing something from the New American Commentary: Philippians, Colossians and Philemo n and noticed that the citation has "Colissians." It doesn't matter what style. How do I report that? Then I tried another resource. This one by Oskar Skarsaune. In the Shadow of the Temple : Jewish Influences

  • Re: anchor bible dictionary

I think there are two ways to do this. 1 You can phone logos and tell them those codes and they will 'activate them' and downloads for logos4 start to happen. 2 If you have libronix 3 still running on another beast you could make it discover those resources and enter codes, and then syncronize licenses, so that the next time you restart logos 4 it will

  • Re: Open in a floating window...

On a PC there is a trick to maximizing a window. I, too, prefer the floating window to be a different size by default. I always want it to be maximized. To do that, whenever the floating window appears I double click the title bar of the window. It fills the whole screen then. Redouble clicking will restore it.

Peter, I may be bringing up false hopes. This may be only related to my hardware or something. This was not a special download from Microsoft's website. It was from Windows Update (under optional updates). It did not have a KB number nor a patch number. But it had a driverid number within a hyperlink. The hyperlinks don't help me at all. i'll try attach
