• Re: 24 hour Logos sale
Not quite correct, you just need to know the trick : Open 3 links you want in 3 separate tabs. Copy the coupon codes from tab 1 and 2 and paste them into the box in tab 3 (which has all 3 titles, although 2 with full prices). Use a comma between. Then click on the button to the right to update. You will now have 3 titles, 3 coupon

  • Re: If in app purchasing added to iOS app, wonder about Logos resource licensing change ?
As for Logos, I am 99.99% confident they would not offer in-app purchases if it restricted the resource to iOS devices.
It appears one of the changes that Apple is making is the requirement that content purchased via other platforms but used in an iOS app must be made available for purchase in app. Seems like Logos

Suppose I am a developer of Palm Reader software. I produce an application for the desktop called Palm Reader Desktop. This let's me buy pics of palms and I use the software to hone up my palm reading skills. I can do things like markup the pics, make notes, etc. My users want an iOS app so they can practice reading palms while away from their desktop
Apple's press release http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2011/02/15appstore.html does not include content restriction outside iOS devices. Some iOS applications choose to have content only available on iOS devices. One business response to purchasing digital content using Apple's in app store is limiting content use
My understanding is that Apple is requiring that if you make content available in an app that is sold from outside the app, you must do the following: 1) Also allow that content to be sold in-app through the iStore at the same price 2) Not give any link in-app to ways of buying the content out -of-app 3) Restrict

Some more smartphone market data coming out this week: http://www.linuxfordevices.com/c/a/News/Gartner-IDC-and-ComScore-4Q-smartphone-reports/?kc=LNXDEVNL020911 Nothing really surprising in there. I'm not sure whether tablet devices are included in this data. I did note that buried in there was a blurb consistent with my own perception that the big
Actually, this is not true. You are probably mistaking sales for market share, which is easily done (especially when you have continual buy one get one free sales of Android). Particularly if you include the additional 27 million iPads and iPod Touches which were sold in the last quarter which all use the same OS and cannot

Ed Burnette has pretty much debunked Meuller's claims. Not that Meuller posting bogus stuff should be a surprise.

I've been using Dropbox for a short while now to be able to have files available when on different computers/devices. I've been very happy with it, especially since I can get to my files via Linux, Win, iPhone and Android.

Eric, You'll need to edit the html code like this: Jeremiah 16:21 ">21 If the above sample isn't showing the code (I don't see a way to mark it, so the forum may process it) go to http://reftagger.com/#tagging and find the question near the end of the page about RefTagger supporting the Bibleref markup. hth!

Sam, I think I'm in a similar position as you. I've been considering buying a MBP mainly for the form factor, but I've been struggling with the additional cost of the hardware. Reading all these posts about the lengths Apple goes to regarding repairs and warranty coverage makes me wonder whether the quality is all it seems to be. Especially in light

I'm battling the same problem myself. In my case, I know I have an overheating problem as I've had the laptop crashing when viewing videos or anything else that is cpu intensive. Last night I decided to install some temp monitoring software. Could very easily see the temps of the cpu cores rising as Logos was running the indexer. As soon as I shutdown

  • Re: Ipad: did you go wifi or include 3g?

If I go with an iPad (would really prefer an Android tablet, but they seem too focused on the 7" screen and I grow impatient ), I'll just get the wifi version. In a couple weeks I'm planning on replacing my iPhone with an Evo, which can serve as a mobile hotspot. I figure if I need to connect the iPad when I'm not around a fixed wifi point, I'll fire

Can't speak to preaching, but for my work presentations, I usually use a mindmap that I've printed out. If I'm ever able to get tablet device, I hope to be able to use it instead of printing out the mindmap. This thread has made me think about preparing some mindmaps for the teaching stuff I do.
