  • Visual Filter for Divine Nouns with Definite Article

The AF Hebrew Morphology has a field for Divine in their syntax but the Logos Hebrew Morphology doesn't. Is there a way to create a VF for the interlinear Bibles that will highlight Divine Nouns with the Definite Article using the Logos morph? Or, is there a way to link the AF morph to the Interlinears rather than the Logos Morph? Thanks in advanced

  • Re: Visual filter bug

I found this occurred because the resource used a different morphology to key in the filter. For example my Hebrew filters either were not visible in my ESV or if they were did'nt work. I changed the AF morph to Logos morph, reset the filter string, all is well now.

  • Re: Visual Filter woes

I initially thought it was caused by the system not being fully indexed. No indications that it had not completed the indexing process but to be on the safe side I used the "Rebuilt Index" in command line and let it go through the process again. Still many of my filters didn't display and the ones that did were not working. that's when I started taking

I had the same problem with the VFs I setup using Hebrew Morph. In Logos 4 the Hebrew was linked to the AF Hebrew morphology in L5 it seems to linked to the Logos Hebrew Morph. Once I modifed the VF to "all resources" with "Logos Hebrew Morphology" and re-keyed the search string, the VFs were visible in my interlinear Bibles with the correct words highlighted

So I've been up since 230am examining my L5 PC version SR3. Noticed that the filter problem is also noted on this machine. I was able to narrow down the filter problem to "Morph" type filters. I created serval morph VF (both Heb & Grk) and none seem to work. A simple VF for Greek imperfect verbs: SEARCH: All Morph IN: New testament IN: All Resources

  • MacAir L5 woes

After the RS3 update L5 on my MacAir has been unusable. It takes a couple of minutes to start and after it is open when I try to open a resource all I get is the Apple Beach ball. I have to force quit the program to shut it down. Most of my visual filter are not recognized and the ones that are don't work. I rebuilt my index (8hrs), rebooted the machine

  • Visual Filter woes

On my iMac my old visual filters are working correctly. On my MacAir, only some of the filters show up and then they will not work. I can select them but then no visual aids are seen.

  • Re: Timeline Resources

Thanks for this list. Where is the timeline tag for these? I was trying to make a collection of resources that are timeline tag but could not find the tag to use. I started the collection by simply adding the books I wanted for now, but if more books get added i would like the new resources to be added automatically.

  • Timeline Resources

Other than the "131 Christians everyone should know" resource, are there other resources thta have the Timeline flag filter built in? Is there a list of these resources? How can you tell which are keyed other than searching the filter for every book you open? Trivia I know in light of the all the issues people are having but I'm just trying to get to

  • Can't sign in after Upgrade on Mac or PC

Just upgraded my Logos 4 Platinum package to Logos 5 Platinum. a) The new Logos 5 features didn't install or can't be found. In addition, although it downloaded 1.41gb of files, the interlinear Bibles were not upgraded. b) I closed the program thinking it needed a reset. c) Logos 5 will no longer allow me to sign in. d) Same on my iMac, MacAir and Dell

  • Changing between opened windows

Other than going to the menu labeled "Window" and selecting the window you want to look at; is there a short cut to view opened windows? On the PC or the Mac operating system you can select ALT+TAB or Command+TAB to see which programs are opened. can this be done within Logos with various windows opened?

  • JI Packer's Concise Theology

I wanted to use a quote from this book but the footnote doesn't contain a page number. The book doesn't have a page number filter nor does a page number appear in the text. Without a hard copy of this book, how does one get the page number?

Keep smiling, I looked up a couple of the commentaries you suggested in the Logos web and had difficulty locating two of them. Commentary on the Old Testament and The Book of Genesis which had 5 different books by 4 differrent authors listed. Could you provide more details on these resources? I thank you for your assistance in sending the screen shots

Thanks for all the help. William, I did peruse my commentaries before I posted. Only two made mention of the language statement. One said that maybe this was in anticipation of what would happen, the other said perhaps this come after Gen 11. Both were ambiguous in their explanation, neither gave me confidence. This is when I arrived at my conclusion

  • Gen 10.5, 32 and Gen 11

Just trying to sort out the chronological order of Gen 10 & 11. Gen 10.5 & 32 tells us that the people had their own language. Yet in Gen 11 we read that the people were of one language. Can we assume that Gen 10 simply tells us what happen after Gen 11 had taken place? In the story line we can say Gen 10 is the story of the nations dispersing and Gen
