  • Re: Lastest rev (A17?) won't ever finish indexing the Library

Hi Rob the first thing you should do is ensure that you have the latest version. Go to the Release Notes - one of the first postings in the forum and look at the top item which is a link to manually download the latest version. Once you are sure you are working with the latest offering we can start to help. Tootle pip Mike

  • Re: Understanding Circumcision = Cut Off

Hi Mike Thanks for getting back to me. I reported the incident because I thought that there just might be an underlying bug or a mis-direction on the link. To answer your questions 1 On the imac 1920 x 1200 ; on the secondary monitor 1280 x 1024 I don't actually remember which screen it the home page was on but it was almost certainly in the second

  • Re: Miracle of miracles: Customer Service connect time now down to seconds!

My tip for anybody calling Customer Service where there is an ocean between you and them is to use 'Skype'. Now a company really thinking internationally would have at least one member of staff sitting with Skype on their desktop ready to answer calls. The advantage of being an ocean away is of course that the staff sit in the office half the night

Hi Wade. I understand that there is a significant memory leak in Biblical People and much use leads to a crash. I wonder what the outlook is with A18 for this problem. tootle pip Mike

  • Re: No Books - Resources missing in Logos 4

Hi Michael, The next thing to do is to follow the instructions at the bottom of Tommy's post on "How to report bugs". The developers will need to see your logs before they can analyse the problem. tootle pip Mike

  • Re: A18 ANYONE?

On another platform I used software that was released on nightly builds - some of which were really problematical. I think that the balance is about right here - the fortnightly update re-assures and keeps interest up - it allows user testing (and the finding of things that have been missed) - and it keeps the forum balanced with praise for new developments

Thank you Monroe - that explains one mystery. I hope the developers are listening on this one because it will cause no end of confusion and fixing it may save them a good deal of time. Tootle pip Mike

  • Understanding Circumcision = Cut Off

Hi all The Home Page has an article 'Understanding Circumcision' if I click on the more at the end of this article it opens Acts 15 :1-11 rather than extending the article. I feel a bit cut off. tootle pip Mike

  • Re: No Books - Resources missing in Logos 4

Hi Michael Is there any chance the machine just went to sleep and abandoned the download process? It is necessary to change the sleep settings on a laptop to only allow the screen to shut down not the processor if leaving it to download and index on its own. Tootle pip Mike

  • What we need here is a clock.

How about putting a clock on the Forum pages or better still changing the 'time posted 'to time lapsed since post'. You have an international market folks - and some of us know that you don't get up in the morning cos nothing happens until about 4 in the afternoon here. Tootle pip Mike

HOLIDAY !!!! - Easter wear you out son (you didn't take that off too did you)? Yes you are right but I just deleted a pane that I didn't mean to and Cmd z didn't work and it would have been handy if it had just put it back in place. Not important, not urgent, not essential - just handy. After all Cmd z is the natural (mac ) reaction. tootle pip Mike

Robert Go to preferences and check the top item 'use internet'. I have found that it switches off unexplainably (unexplainably by me - I wonder if a key board short cut is tripping it?) Edit -- Just checking my own system I find the top item is 'Automatically download updates' - 'Use internet ' is at the bottom of the first section - close edit Worth

Hi Tommy Just to test I went and dusted off a copy of the Collins Oxford Dictionary and crammed it into my machine. It is hard to get the back on now and bulges a little - however a new test on the first sentence of Romans I : 8 still reveals a few idiosyncrasies. Greco–Roman = lovely £40 well spent for this word the = Lord's Supper The (is 'the' really
