Owen I'm sure you can but I'm not sure how. However, it would be best if you reposted in the Logos 6 forum, as more people will see it. This forum is usually used by people who have created files that they wish to share. Every blessing Alan

  • Re: Is C.S. Lewis finally coming to Logos? Logos Facebook is teasing us to stay tuned!

All this about Lewis's books makes me wonder if in the future there will ever be books which make it to the Public Domain in less than 150 years? Corporate greed among large publishers who will buy up small publishers for their back catalogue means that copyrights will be renewed until a generation after the paying market has been milked dry. With e

I searched Monergism AND Synergism and turned up about 70 references in the first instance. And that is only individual sentences containing both terms. That would give enough for a way into

I have experienced both of these issues myself. Logos Tech are aware of them (for one thing I and others have told them directly) and are working to solve them. Part of the problem seems to be odd GUI issues between Logos 6 and Yosemite. It was unserendipitous (if there is such a word – well there is now!) that Logos 6 and Yosemite were launched upon

  • Re: Tyndale Olivetree $99, Pricematch?

Okay, the allegory is breaking down. As a vegetarian bean-eater I'm cool with that! The thing is Logos is tagged to an extent that few, if any, of its competitors are. Tagging is a pretty intense operation and costly. That means that inevitably the Logos version is going to cost more, but if, like me, linking resources is important, then it's money

Scrolling on my Mac is slow. Yesterday I had two crashes while scrolling through a commentary quickly. The crash logs were submitted on restart automatically. Logos is the slowest program on my system, but then it always has been! However, it is the most memory-greedy also. I hope things will change, but I doubt it. Every blessing Alan

Usually I preach in an expository fashion but sometimes I work with topics. This year I am doing a short series over the Christmas period, based on a phrase from a modern(ish) carol which I haven't been able to get out of my head for over a month: … because of Christmas Day . Here's part of the diary plan for the sermon series. (I've omitted the praise

Update: Since my last post I have closed Logos, deleted catalog.db and metadata.db, as Mark suggested earlier and restarted. The results are visible below: It knows that it is a Bible. It provides full information. Support info is correct. I hope that it will be permanently fixed now. Thanks to all who persevered in trying to help. I am very grateful

Bradley I downloaded the file from ftp; I tried to scan it from the desktop by typing users/alanmacgregor/desktop into the command bar. It offered the Tools|scan users/alanmacgregor/desktop (as well as the usual search options). I clicked on the Tools option. Nothing happened even after waiting a couple of minutes. I closed Logos, opened the resources

Thanks. I found the folder, deleted it, emptied the trash. Then I tried to scan optical media from a disk with ANIV.logos4 alone in all its glory. Nothing! So I tried to update resources. Nothing! So I dragged ANIV.logos4 from CD to resources folder and launched Logos. Indexed! Then I went to open NIV Anglicised 1984. Its there but it still thinks that
