• Re: Crossgrade question

Kathy I had a Logos 5 Library package and on looking at the upgrades was underwhelmed by what was on offer. Yes, they offered a lot of resources, but very few were resources I really wanted, so I investigated the Crossgrade options. Many of the functions I would really use were only available in the Feature and Extended Crossgrades, so after counting

  • Re: Logos by Subscription?

Bob I have absolutely no interest in subscribing to Logos. I have the Logos library I own because I have purchased it over a period of 20+ years. It is mine. I have included it in my will to pass on to a younger friend in the ministry, just as I benefitted in years past from older colleagues libraries when they retired or died. BTW I have kept my L3
What are others getting?
Bruce I had intended buying nothing ! … but today's hot deal was just too tempting ( Understanding the Bible Commentary Series (36 vols.)), especially as I got a few more dollars off, because I already had Hurtado's Mark Commentary, which I had found really useful in preaching through Mark
Release Notes We have added support for using Apple’s newer URL downloading APIs, which may help with the download issues with OS 10.10 Yosemite. At this time it is optional and can be enabled by typing the following command into the Terminal OS X application: defaults write com.logos.Logos UseURLSession -bool YES [/quote

  • Bug: Layouts problem

Despite my startup layouts on both my computers being set to Most recent layout - local (See screenshot) the computers persist in opening the most recent layout - any . This is a pain, but not too bad, on opening the iMac because the layout is unscaled and easily fits the screen. However, when opening the MBA it is a serious nuisance because the layout

  • Re: Anyone satisfied with just the 6.0 core upgrade?

After a few days of swithering I went for the Extended Crossgrade . Personally, I was underwhelmed by the extras I would get if I went for an upgraded package. I had Platinum in L4 and haven't been tempted to add another package. I looked at L6 Platinum and L6 Diamond which was what I was "recommended" but decided to go for the Extended Crossgrade since

  • Re: What's the *Official* Pronunciation?

Of course, Λογος (Greek) = Verbum (Latin) = Word (English). That is probably why they lit upon the name Logos, because it was Bible software. Smart! Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος = In principio erat verbum = In the beginning was the Word. (John 1.1) Every blessing Alan

  • Re: Bug?: Bible Search not working

Okay now! Here's what happened: After my previous post, Logos downloaded Homeric Hymns and Homerica which was released from PrePub today. Logos then restarted and took two hours to reindex (ostensibly those two resources)! When Indexing completed search capabilities were fully restored - for both Bible and Basic searches! Go figure! Thanks for the suggestions

  • Bug?: Bible Search not working

I was searching for a simple Greek word - μικρῶν - which occurs frequently in the gospels. However, when I ran the search it returned no results! I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Here's my screen shot: I can't even find "Jesus" in the ESV!!! Any suggestions? Or is this just another bug? If it is, could it be fixed yesterday please, because searching
