    Great answer, Dave. Thank you. And I erred; I actually did use the syntax of the library filter you indicated above. I do have one other question raised by one of the suggested videos in this thread above. One of the videos suggested that you could go into program settings and turn off automatic new resource downloading. My question in that regard would

    When I search in Logos, it is only pulling up hits from my downloaded library. What can I tweak so that searches also yield hits from my cloud resources? Thank you.

    Thanks, Keep Smiling! I tried to replicate your search. For some reason, I only have 78 resources in my Journals Collection. I know I have tons more in my library. Apparently, they aren't all defined as type:journal. I have to figure out a way to create a Journals Collection.

    Another issue I'm having is this: If I open my Library Panel and filter it by the type 'Journal,' it says I have 2733 resources. However, if I try to create a collection called "My Journals" (or "Journals"), and I set the rule to "type:journal," it says I only have 78 resources in the collection. That makes absolutely no sense! What I am trying to search

    Just curious. I am getting OR hits when executing AND Basic searches. What am I doing wrong? Don't know if it matters, but I was searching my Journals Collection for texts having the words, "children" AND "Poor." Virtually all my hits came back with one or the other. Also, is there a good video that deals with constructing different kinds of search

  • Selective Library Storage on Local PC

    All, I was wondering if the Windows Desktop version of Logos allows users to selectively store library resources on the local PC. In the past, I know that any (and ALL) resources that were licensed to a user were automatically downloaded to their PC when the program was opened. The problem is that I have amassed a huge amount of resources over the years

    Thank you, John. I checked in Windows settings and found two controls there: It asks you if you want to set the default mode in Windows to light or dark and it also asks if you want to set the default mode in your apps to light or dark. I assume that if you set the setting in Logos to 'System,' it looks to your Windows settings for apps, correct?

    In the settings, one is given the choice of light mode, dark mode, or system. Could someone please explain what the system setting does? Thank you.

    Yes, I manually did that. However when I advance in one of the resources - either the bible or the commentary - the other does not scroll along with it. I've never had this happen before. Usually linked resources scroll together. This is not happening now for some unexplained reason.

    Thank you, Andrew. A lot of those options on the context menu are missing. At one time, on a different computer, those options appeared. I'm going to paste a screenshot of what I have now.
