• Re: New to Mac...question about hardware and question about software

Seems to me that David's response ought to be deleted since he doesn't respond to the OP or his questions which clearly state that he is just looking to use his Mac as an "e-reader" for now. Also, David is responding to Rick, but somehow reads into Rick's thoughts or something because I don't see the connection. To me, David seems to have gratuitously

  • Re: Question on Pausing Index behavior

My understanding (and I think my past experience) is that when you do an actual shut down (as opposed to a hibernate) the indexing will start from the beginning again. If you first put you computer in hibernate mode, the indexing will pick up where it left off next time. When I do this, I first pause the indexing, then put the computer in hibernate

Thank you Martha...this response is what one gets when he prays to not respond too harshly to others and waits for someone else to do a much better job that him. I can't imagine the stress levels and high blood pressure of some folks. I have much bigger things to deal with in my life...though I've been in line since the beginning, awaiting this resource

If your iPod Touch is loaded with the iTunes Store app (you will see the icon on your screen) press it and register/log in to access the store and search for logos. It will ask you if you want to install it and you'll say yes. It will download it to your Touch then you'll launch the logos app. When you log into logos, your books (those available for
Right on, Otto! I have had to make some cheerful adjustments to my spending habits to be able to buy my Logos library. It was not hard to give up other interests (or obsessions?) And every time I fix the old car or lawnmower I start wondering, "What Logos resource can I buy with that savings?"
What I'd like is for the Pr and Ps to end on chapter boundaries or have a bit more control over it.
Exactly! This used to be an option in L3 I believe. It's very "uncomfortable" to begin/end mid-chapter. Also, I just set up a reading plan for Habakkuk today and had to "verify" how many chapters it was and then tell

Wow! what a dangerous thread...if for no other reason than plain ol' envy. I'm jealous, but I am keeping in mind that many of you have "professional" (paid ministerial) reasons to own such large libraries, several of you have been Logos users for 15+ years, PPBs account for a large number for some of you, numerous audio/video resources (L3 at this point
My pastor and a couple of folks from my church are using Quick Verse. I've used Logos almost from the time the company started, but I've never used Quick Verse. What are some of the most important advantages Logos has over the other software? Oh, and have all the Family Christian Bookstores stopped carrying Logos or is it

Hope this helps... The Titles and History of the Prophets. The main words used to describe such individuals in the OT are “prophet” (e.g., Jgs 6:8), “man of God” (e.g., 2 Kgs 4:9) and “seer”—the latter word doing duty for two distinct but synonymous words in the Hebrew lying behind our English translations (e.g., 1 Sm 9:9; 2 Sm 24:11). The word translated
