• Re: Text compare, how to compare all bibles.

Rosie... Is this capture from the 4.0c beta, because my 4.0b (Portfolio) doesn't include it as a setting option. I get Compare Versions...Bibles: and View: Thank you.

  • Re: John Macarthur's Blog Today

Maybe someone could suggest some great Logos resources we could search through and study to come to our own conclusions as to whether Evangelicalism is a mess or not according to Scripture...at least until Logos gives us a forum to discuss personal theological debate.

Sorry...can't really say, but it seems the information might have been a bit premature since I haven't seen the update yet.

If you are referring to the 4.0b release, I was told that it was scheduled to release yesterday (3/3/10).

Great idea! I've wanted a "wish list" for some time now, but more for me to remember the purchases I would like to make without have to look everything up over and over again. I also posted this recommendation today in the "General" section (probably should have put it in the "Suggestions" forum...oops! "How can we get a "Customer Review" section added

  • College Press NIV Commentaries vrs. New International Biblical Commentaries (Prepubs)

I am seeking comment as to which of these two commentary series you would prefer if you had to choose only one. Please provide the "why" and any experience you have in using BOTH of them. I am considering the 4 volume upgrade for the CPNIVC ($80-prepub) versus purchasing the NIBC-NT ($160-prepub). Again, which would you buy and why?

  • Please Add "Customer Reviews" to Logos.com Forums

How can we get a "Customer Review" section added to the Logos.com Forums? With so many new titles being published for Logos, it is dizzying trying to locate reader reviews and make prudent decisions on which books we add to our collections. I have seen numerous inquiries from forum participants requesting the opinions of others to help them decide on

That's interesting gentlemen: I ran the same exact search string with "my" Top Bibles and other than the outrageously (at least compared to the 1.27 sec on the Mac) return time...mine 16.53 sec(netbook), my results look about the same and I have no problem with my contrast..."love" and "joy" show up highlighted in each instance. I do keep my screen

  • Re: indexer keeps crashing

This happened to me also when I last upgraded to Portfolio. After it crashed for the third time, I ran the "reindex now" command from within L4 (on the command bar) and it worked perfectly. Not sure why...but it worked.

  • Re: Last Chance Upgrade Question

Brian in the Academic Sales Department told me that the Academic discounts would not be available after Friday, January 29, 2010 at 5:00 PM (PST). Sorry. This is why I took the plunge and upgraded one more time...to Portfolio. I was told it would cost me between $300 and $400 more if I waited until Monday. Of course...Logos does provide a one hundred

The representative, Brian, said the Academic discount will increase February 1 when the "regular" price increases for everyone else. However, because the Academic Sales Department is closed at 5:00 PM (PST) on Friday...these deeper discounts ended today, not on February 1.
Hmm. I missed

Maybe I should not have read this thread today...I too purchased the Platinum (in December from Gold) and right after reading Christina's final entry above, I decided to take advantage of the best price I could get as well and made the final plunge to Portfolio...thank God for Academic Pricing!

  • Re: Discount pricing -vs- Academic pricing

I spoke to the Academic Sales Department today because I wanted to ensure that I would get the greatest savings if I were to move up to Portfolio (just upgraded to Platinum a month and a half ago), but was afraid of losing out on the greatest discount. The representative, Brian, said the Academic discount will increase February 1 when the "regular"

  • Re: Need Help with Reading Plan

Stuart, thank you. Unfortunately, my main concern is having the one chapter per book, per day. I don't even mind setting up three separate reading plans for now if need be, however, your recommendation would allow me to set up just one if I could just have the one chapter of each per day. Thanks again...Michael

  • Re: Need Help with Reading Plan

I can't figure out how to set the reading plan to end at a pericope or chapter boundary in L4. Is there a way...I really need this since I read a ch of Prov, one OT and one NT each day and need to be able to read one chapter each...each day of the week. Thank you all so much...L4 Rocks!
