  • Cascadia Syntax Graphs

I would be grateful if someone could tell me the significance of the asterix used against some of the symbols used within the Cascadia Syntax Graphs. Thanks Andrew

Thanks - in the end I have deleted and re-installed the app - this worked (though it does mean that downloaded books are currently being re-downloaded!) Andrew

  • How do I re-register an unregistered mobile device?

As a result of replacing a mobile device I have unregistered the wrong device (i.e. the new one) from my account as it was not clear from the account details which was which. Any thoughts as to how I can re-register my new device? Thanks Andrew

  • Re: Any reviews for the ZECNT on Ephesians?

I'm currently working through ZECNT on Ephesians, both for preparation for a couple of Study Groups I lead and as a means of strengthening my NT Greek. I think it is a very fine commentary, especially if you know a bit of Greek, and wish to interact with the Greek text. Clinton Arnold also speaks helpfully about the "power and magic" issues in the religious

A follow-up to my previous message. The best guide to NT Greek diagramming is probably in 'Principles and Practice of Greek Exegesis' by J.D. Grassmick - available from Dallas Theological Seminary bookstore. The document in my previous message is a summary based on Grassmick's approach. Andrew

  • Re: CPU percentage

Thanks. My experience seems to be like some others - after an hour or so the problem seems to have resolved itself. I guess there may have been some re-indexing going on in the background. Andrew

I've just developed same problem - no indication that it is an indexing problem - Logos CPU usage at 170% - restarting has not solved issue. Andrew

  • Louw-Nida Searching

I would appreciate some advice on Louw-Nida related searching. Example: ἐκλέγομαι is found in two semantic domains, i.e. a select: 30.86 b choose: 30.92 What search operator do I use to produce two separate lists of verses showing use of ἐκλέγομαι within each of the two SDs (albeit I may have to do search twice)? Thanks Andrew

Jack, Given the harsh and somewhat unChristian comments of a number of responses on the Logos 5 forum in recent days it is always good to see your positive, helpful and good-humoured contributions. Keep it up! Thanks Andrew

Screen shot attached showing verse hyperlink on Mac. I do need to point out that these notes were originally created when I was running Windows version (via Parallels) so that may be the reason. Andrew

Auto hyperlinks of bible refs in notes working for me now in Mac. Notes in Mac has improved significantly though I haven't used it sufficiently over last couple of days to know whether now complete parity in notes. Andrew

Chris Yes the Mac version of Logos 5 is quicker and more responsive than Logos 4 plus having a greater degree of parity with Windows version (though I never had the crashes and problems that other Mac users seem to have had). Andrew
