  • LOGOS NOT OPENING

I'm running Logos 4 on a MacBook under Parallels. I updated to Parallels 6 last week and Logos was working fine. This morning I downloaded a Parallels 6 update - Logos opened and worked fine for a couple of times but now when I click on the Logos desktop icon to open absolutely nothing happens - not even an error message. I have deleted the Logos shortcut

Tom, Thanks - but you will need to bit a bit more explicit about how I action this e.g. is it something I download over the internet or access through Mac options or through Logos 4 programme - I have tried various options without success. Andrew

David, Problem occurs with all resources under the Mac Version of Logos. (I'am also running the PC version on same machine/ using same mouse with Parallels 5 without this problem occuring). I'm using an Apple wireless Magic Mouse. Andrew

Tommy From screenshot you can see both the grey lines and at the bottom an example of a duplicated line - as stated above this problem only started with Beta 6 Thanks Andrew

For the sake of clarification I need to add that these horizontal grey lines are not the ones within the right hand scroll bar - these a light gey lines going right across the panels where the text of resources appear. Andrew

  • Scrolling Problem

I have found with both Beta 6 & 7 that when I place the cursor within a panel and scroll [by the Mac mouse equivalent of a scroll wheel] so that text slowly moves in a downward direction (i.e. going backwards) I am getting a series of grey horizontal lines plus the occasional instance where the text in a line is part duplicating itself directly above

I've tried using Java Script and have experienced same problem (i.e. needs to close). Attach zip file (note: this relates to failure to carry out d.l. rather than initial command box problem). Thanks Andrew 8662.Logos4.zip 8508.Logos4Crash.zip

Following Dave's advice I've tried the diagnostic logging (holding down CTRL key) and each time after the sign in panel has come up I get the message 'Logos Bible Software encountered a problem and needs to close'. (If I open without holding down CTRL key Logos opens fine but this will not give me the d.l.). Any suggestions?

  • Re: Best commentary on 1 cor

Fee is good, but can be idiosyncratic in places - but would recommend Thiselton in NIGTC - probably finest academic commentary I have read. However it is technical and reader probably needs some Greek to really benefit from it. Expensive but can be bought separately in Logos. Thiselton has since written a shorter less technical commentary which is very

Dave Both set to English. It's only been a problem I've noticed for about 10days - I can't recall making any changes likely to have caused it so was assuming it was the result of say a Windows update - but then if this was the cause it's a bit surprising others haven't had same issue.

Indexing has completed - doesn't work in either case e.g. 'Close all' doesn't work from command box, (though it does from a short cut I have on the top ribbon) neither does 'ESV' (using Rosie's examples). Andrew

  • Command Box Not Functioning

I've noticed that recently (both pre- and post- latest update) the command box in the top banner is not functioning - when I type in letters/words the drop down box remains completely blank. Is anyone else having this problem and any suggestions for correcting it? (Drop down lists in search command box still working OK) Andrew
