A post recently said that attention could now be redirected to prepubs. I await eagerly one of my prepubs, but I think that Logos 4 health issues are a far greater need and priority.
Francis, I totally agree with your statement. I too would like my prepubs yesterday, but I would rather have a program that I can use.

Currently, no. Hopefully sometime in the near future we will have this option. I too want my own standard startup layout, and this is one of the reasons why I am still using v3.
I want to keep my Bible study material IN my Bible study program!
Same here. If we need to use a different program, then Logos should be able to include those files in its index and be able to link to the program data files.
Please attach the original LDLS 3 notes files so we can investigate further.
Scott, because the note file has copyright material, I am not going to post the file. Is there another way to get the file to Logos?

I have several note files that are linked to the biblical text, and none of the notes are showing up in the biblical text. Here is one example. Here are some screen prints: v3: V4 screen print 1: v4 screen print 2:
Let me guess, you just downloaded the free engine right?
kind of, I downloaded the beta version, and thus why I am posting in the beta forum. I am one of the many people who are waiting for v4 to become usable. As I have stated in many many many post, I cannot use v4, and I am not going to pay money for something

Thanks Kevin, none of my lectionaries are showing up in my library. Here is a screen print of v3 and v4 beta

I cannot find the lectionary viewer anywhere. I am using 4.0b beta 5 (4.02.3.5543). Here is a screen print for my settings of the home page. NOTE: I do not use Logos' homepage, and I cannot find any documentation on how to read the lectionary by not using the 'home page.'
Logos4's 'Note File' functionality is missing significant Logos3 functionality
If you ask me, it tells me a lot about v4. One of the things that a lot of people said needed to be improved is the note functionality. In the current version of v4, we don't even have the functionality found in v3 (like the rest of
I'd encourage you at least to keep your toes in the L4 waters, if only to be able to determine when it's ready for your use.
Thanks Bill, I am planning to keep my toes in the water. As a mater of fact, I download the current v4 "beta" version because it imports the notes that we have in v3. Before I followed God's call into
You COULD buy now...and NOT INSTALL...pretending like it doesn't exist...and wait until you think it's ready....then install and THEN it's a win-win for you....right?
I can do this, but I have a hard time spending money now on something that I might use in the future. For me, it is v3 until Logos produces a v4 that
I am very very confident that Logos has learned many lessons from the release of L4.
I sure do hope so

I agree, Logos 4 (in its current state) is a several steps backwards from Logos 3.

I too also would like this option to come back in v4. When I start Logos, I want the lectionary in the left panel and the NRSV in my right.
DOES NO ONE REMEMBER Bob P saying that they could have waited until all of the "expected features" were in place before releasing V4? There were two roads to go down 1.) Wait. continue to develop. When v4 had all of the expected eventual features...then release. (in the mean time...nobody gets to use the software... 2.)

First thing first, I have not been using Logos 4 that much because without my v.3 notes, Logos 4 is useless for me. I was looking at the notes function today, and I could not figure out how to embed a sound clip or a youtube video. I am wondering if this type of functionality was added to v.4 notes. Therefore, I am hoping someone can tell me they were

I have several hundred workspace (one for each lesson for each week of the church year plus special services). I do not want to recreate each workspace. Thus, I too would like a way to import workspaces.
Thanks to those who tried. I'll be waiting patiently ...
Thanks everyone for their two cents. I have decided to waiting until they get the note system for v4 in v4 before I upgrade to v4.
