I'm wondering if anyone who has viewed either of the following courses would mind sharing your thoughts. BI291: The Apocrypha: Witness between the Testaments NT202: A Survey of Jewish History and Literature from the Second Temple Period They both deal with areas of interest to me (NT202 more so I think than BI291), but even at 50% off for MM, Mobile

Kevin, thanks for the walk-thru on that. I have to say though that for a little while I thought I was losing my mind because once I got down to AppData>Local>Logos, the onlly folder listed under the LOGOS folder was an INSTALL folder, and the only folder under that was an INSTALLER folder. Now I've used the path you described many times in the

Thanks for pointing this out Paul. For several years, I've worked at building my Logos library with a broad range of the recommended/highly rated commentary sets, along with background resource sets, theological, exegetical, and word study resources, as well as comparative resources (e.g. Five Views on such and such), etc. I've also invested in a number

  • Obadiah: 1st vs 2nd Edition in Zondervan Exegetical Commentary

The Obadiah volume offered in the March Madness Matchups has the 1st edition of Obadiah vs the current 2nd edition, which I believe was made available within just two years of the 1st edition. Anyone know why a 2nd edition came out so soon after the first and if there are significant improvements in the 2nd edition?

  • Re: Dear Faithlife, So how do I know what I am actually buying?

MJ, I'm just a layperson with simple (but important to me) needs and desires when it comes to biblical studies, yet I often wonder about the same point you are making. I suppose my first reflections on that came up early in my use of Logos when I would do searches and not get links to resources I knew had relevant information regarding my searches.

I own the first edition of both the Bible and the notes, so I placed a pre-order and checked the price. Still came through as $14.99 for me, so owning the first edition didn't lower the price. I'll probably cancel and wait to see if it's included in any Logos 9 packages.

  • Can the automatic "Search Window popup" be turned OFF when highlighting

When using my Android tablet, I do a lot of text highlighting and very little word lookup/searching. If my tablet is not connected to the internet, I can select a word(s) for highlighting without having the "Search Window" pop up on my screen. But... if connected to the internet, the "Search Window" pops up every time I select a word(s) for highlighting

Thanks again to everyone who has shared. I am still dealing with some vision issues, so I apologize if there are any glaring mistakes in my replies or if I failed to acknowledge something that you shared. I'll be visiting an opthalmologist again in a couple of weeks and am anticipating improving vision in the coming days.

[quote user="Francis"] Hi Rick. I think your question is warranted because it caters to understanding better how God relates to humanity. This certainly includes the history of God's relationship to humanity and it is relevant to whatever might be claimed with regard to a theology based on the NT alone without consideration for this broader context

[quote user="David Thomas"] So you are contemplating the intersection between Bibliology [a hermeneutic of progressive revelation] and Soteriology [the means of regeneration]? And then when one considers those "incapable" of volitional belief (e.g. miscarriage, infancy & other cognitive "disabilities") one's view of Theology Proper weighs on the
