• Re: So, how many of you are sticking with Version 4?

I'm staying with 4 because I just got done paying for it a few months ago. The upgrade for my Silver is $461. So far I've seen nothing even close to make it worth the upgrade. I've actually been using my Dake bibles in paper form and it's been great! Cheaper too. Less upgrades to download, no indexing, one price and it's paid for, requires no electricity

I downloaded the file and it asked to install, I said OK. It went through the motions and then at the end said it did not install. I also went to the APP store at Amazon and it just gives the option to Open Logos, not install.

My Kindle Fire will NOT install this update. I have gone into the Device settings and enabled the install from unknown sources and it still starts the install and ends up saying it did not install. What to do?

  • Re: Making a tab smaller

I had done that before my post and I must not have done it properly. Now it works great. Thank you for a quick reply. These forums are the best community I know of for speed and kindness. I knew the answer would be a simple one, and it was.

  • Making a tab smaller

I admit, I have been using my paper Dake KJV for a while and I've gotten very rusty with Logos 4. Funny too because my Logos 4 just got paid off! Woohoo! Anyway, I got off track here. While having my bible tabs open, I open a commentary too and it opens as an additional tab along side the bible tabs. However, I want to make the commentary half the size
Logos Moderator: I think this thread has turned into a theological topic. I'm sure many obese people here would be offended to call gluttony a sin. Please remove this thread.
They better not read the bible then.

That sure is the truth. Church is a hospital for the hurting, not a clubhouse.

Thanks to "Keep smiling for Jesus", I did what I should have done to begin with. I used Logos search option on all text. Now I have everything I could want for reference I posted originally because this was just a teaching I had learned but I did not know exactly where it was in scripture. I thought that gluttony was listed along with other sins, but

The Philippians 3:19 is one we had not found. Thank you. I just bought the Seven Deadly Sins book and it should be installing now. Thank you for that too. I knew there would be excellent replies here. Thanks very much for your help!

  • Gluttony a sin in the bible?

This is not a direct Logos question, but I don't know of a better group of people to answer my request. I'm 56 and for most of my life I was taught that gluttony was a sin as well as hatred, pride, and others. So my wife and I went to looking for the scripture that addresses this, and we cannot find anything even close that says it's a sin. We've tried

I'm one of the posters that had a very high score. The PC I posted with was a replacement for one that went bad. I prayed long and hard for my new PC with high Novabench, and I make no apologies for it. Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This community is the best! Every post that I have made with a problem got answered almost immediately. These forums are the best I have ever been involved with. It may have to do with the fact that our common love is the bible. I am a member of a gaming forum that is considered to be the most elite of gaming forums, and the fights that happen there

If my Win7 score for my hard drive were 7.4 then my total would be in the 7's. That's a great score for your HD and it's too bad you did not see much performance gain. Novabench also takes into consideration the amount of RAM you have, and that has nothing to do with speed of what you DO have. I'm not impressed with their scoring.

  • Re: What's your benchmark?

On the previous page at the bottom is my score, and my hardware got a 38. It's higher because I have a larger boot partition. To me, that's a senseless way of scoring. It should be entirely on speed I think as mine is just a 1.4 terabyte 7200 rpm drive in RAID 0. Not fast. My Windows 7 performance test gave my drive a 5.9. Kind of maddening when the

Jems; I've wanted to do exactly what you have done with your hard drives. That is about as good as it can get for that part of your hardware. Ever since hard drives have been around, we have waited for them as being the slowest part of the computer. I thought that the SSD's would have come out years ago before they have. My system is a pair of 7200
