  • Re: Logos for ipad

It's now in the App Store (my Ipod version just updated) and it looks great, I think! Thanks Logos. PS - ESV also has an iPodized version of their app available. Good times.

At the bottom of the 'Read NIV in one year' plan on the ribbon, there should be an 'edit' link. You can click on that and then you get the plan in either Calendar or List view. At the top of the plan, there should be an 'Edit' link at the end of the line that looks something like Read NIV All Passages every day starting etc. This is very near the top

I left a comment on the blog (unpublished) that I think helped them see where the disjunct was. In a nutshell, their pictures and wording made it sound like in the body of the Home Page, you'd see your reading plan with a 'Read more...' type link to take you to the reading. Now, the blog post is edited to read "Right there on the top of the Home Page

Thanks, Phil. That helped with my Morning & Evening. Now, I'm none too bright so can you help with what I need to do to make my Reading Plans appear as per the blog entry?

I was wondering the same thing but figured I was missing something obvious. 'twould be good if I could see my daily reading right there on the home-page - but I don't. I DO see a reading - but it's from Romans and not from where I am in my reading plan.

It really does need to be local.

I, too, think that each tab having it's own X is far more intuitive. Current OS design in Windows browsers, where we typically see tabbed design, uses this system. It is jarring each time I try to close a tab after being conditioned to use the X on the tab itself, to have to go find the other X. Earth-shattering? No. But good design is good design.

  • Re: Shipping costs?

One factor is that Christian Books, Amazon, et al, are able to get great bulk discounts from publishers and absorb a portion of the shipping cost - and then use that lower shipping as a sweetner to get your business. Amazon does not even house many of its own books and can use its enormous purchasing power to get very low or no handling charges added

  • Re: Request: ISO image of install disk

For what it is worth, I would buy the SD or any flash media device with the image on it, including the hardware. For me, the portability of a card is worth every penny and I find them far more functional than Disc. I hope you consider making images/data available this way again.

  • Re: Kudos rather than complaints

I can go cross-eyed and move one image over the other by refocussing (like those random dot pictures with dolphins hidden in them from a few years back) and see them in wonderful 3-d without the goofy glasses! They are fun :) I wish we could get some updated ones of various Holy Land sites as well.

I'd also prefer the universal shortcut to an icon. As far as Smarttags are concerned, I love them. They work great in 2007 although I have no way to test them in the upcoming 2010 version. If possible, I'd love to get these back.

  • Re: The Upgrade is Totally Worth It - Brilliant Software

I really like it! I l may the only one out here who actually prefers the new home page! Finally, something interesting there instead of a drab half page like V3 had. I'm really hoping to see much less monolithic type updates with huge changes between versions - but periodic, incremental improvements to functionality, usability and tools. Great product
