  • Re: Fix Factbook

Ok, thanks for the confusion. A server crash? And is that an ongoing thing? And does that mean the fix I'm crying about regarding Factbook could go on indefinitely, meaning this thing could go on for months before seeing both fixed?

What is a "server side fix"?

And thank you George for your reply. I think you've hit the nose right on the hammer, or is that hit the hammer on the head. Working its way to the head of the line is just that. And if that is indeed is the proper answer, then patience is something I'll have to learn. And me thinking this was the only problem with Logos 6!???!

Sorry about that Graham. If the problem were fixed as quickly as your reply, I wouldn't have posted It's the one you replied to a ways back. Factbook i.e. (subject = law) / Community Tags / International Standard Bible Encyclopedia. This is the little critter that seemingly isn't being fixed and if they are working on it, it must be one HUGE snag to

  • Fix Factbook

It's been how many weeks since the problem with Factbook was first reported and still no fix. I remember going through these type of things with Biblesoft. Promises were continually made that something would be overcome in a matter of days, the latest one being of course to upgrade from version 5. That was years ago and nothing has changed over there

Super, but I'm wondering what's actually going on with the community tags problem(s). Graham said it was being worked on. I wonder are they really, or is this something they'll soon tell us that they *plan* to fix in the *near* future & on & on it goes. Why am I hoping I'm wrong on this? :-)

Thanks Graham. I appreciate your reply. I see the Milkman said on Oct 30th that the boys would be earning their paychecks that week. Apparently, it seems they've been earning their paychecks the past several weeks and now many more to come?

  • Factbook - Lexham Bible Dictionary

I've typed in *Parable* in Factbook, then I click on the Lexham Bible Dictionary in Community Tags. Before I click on the little arrow that points horizontally, it says 131 results. Clicking on the little arrow, it says *loading* then the little arrow points downwards and it says loading. But nothing loads. The arrow stays pointing downwards but that

Unix, do you mind elaborating on your statement "the products are now diversified" and also "there's Noet & Vyrso"? Also Thinking, you say that "L6 is not yet optimized for 64 bit & maximizing memory" ... so is Logos actually going to do this or is this something else that "might be" down the road or waaaaaay down the road?

  • Re: Logos 6 running slower

I've an I7 processor with 16 Gigs of RAM and a 7200rpm HD. The laptop is about 1 year old, so why is it that I don't really want to blame the computer? :-} I personally would have thought Logos to have overcome that, hard coding or no. How long has Faithlife owned Logos or has it always? I've only noticed this name as of late.

I notice the *not responding* is still taking place, i.e. when I open up a layout. Obviously, whoever is writing this program is not dealing with the basics.

Unix, I wish I could concur regarding Firefox. This program is totally horrifically slow compared to Google Chrome. I'm not worried about RAM (or sheep) having 16 Gigs aboard this Laptop. Firefox scrolls slow, is jerky whereas Google Chrome is giving me no grief whatsoever. Appreciate your post though - very informative. Thanks! :-)

Perfect! I've two large magnifying glasses right here on my desk and do you suppose I even thought of what you are advising? Nay!!! If I can get this up to my computer screen without dropping it onto my keyboard (and smashing that) I'll see what I'm supposed to be reading!!! Don't stray too far away Fredc - I'll need phenomenal advice like this in the

In that case Fredc, just make up something. I'll believe anything!!! :-} Seriously, I would have thought they would have given us an option on something as *simple* as that. Thanks for the reply! :-)

  • change size of fonts in pop up window

Let's say we have a verse and we hover the mouse over it. How do I change the size of the font in that particular pop up window?

And now we have in Logos 6 - the option to change the panes to colours of our choice!??!. The "not responding" hasn't been dealt with either.

So the new features / new resources - are these seriously worth the investment Graham? I've got the Silver package and wondering if these new features are worth the money - 139.00 here in Canada! :-)
