• Using FaithLife to lead a Bible study

Apologies if this has been asked previously (I searched and came up empty), but my son is looking to lead a Bible study group over the summer (middle school children) and expressed interest in using FaithLife. I'm coming up empty with articles/blogs/tutorials to help get him started on how to accomplish something like that with the software/site. Obviously

  • Re: Favorites not synchronizing

Making the subtle change of renaming one of the lists in the new folder I created in Favorites caused it to synchronize on the MacMini. Yeah!! Bless you for your advice. Thank you.

Yes, same Logos account. The machines are never used at the same time, so there shouldn't be any contention with logging in at the same time with the Logos account. The OS accounts are different (obviously), but I can't see how that would matter. I'm out of ideas as to why the two other machines, in addition to the iPhone, all have my favorites, but

  • Favorites not synchronizing

I have a Windows desktop that I use during the day with Logos 5 on it, a MacBook Air that I use in the evenings on the couch with Logos 5 and a MacMini that I use for "coffee study" with Logos 5 on it. I created a Horner's Reading Plan on the MacBook Air, using Favorites and 10 reading lists. The Favorites on my Windows desktop sync'd nearly immediately

  • Re: Compatibility L4 Mac with OSX Lion..RoaringApps says it has not been tested yet..?!

David, After Lion installs, Apple has it reindexing due to changes in Spotlight. That index process could take up to a few hours. Give it time to hammer your hard drive and then reboot. After a restart it should feel as fast or possibly faster than Snow Leopard. (At least, that was my experience)

I have a similar experience to Garry. On my late-2010 13" MacBook Air (4GB), Logos4 and OSX Lion work really well. No sluggishness that I can detect. Does anyone know if Logos4 on Lion will support full-screen mode? Now if Google would just give Chrome some love on OSX Lion. 3 finger swipe crashes Chrome and the scroll bars look horrible.

Mark, I currently have a MacBook Air 13" 4GB RAM late 2010 model. I have had no problems with the Silver version of Logos on it. just fyi.

  • Re: ESV Study Bible

I whole heartedly agree. It is a wonderful resource, both the dead tree version and this version. I've waited a long time for this to be available on Logos and am very excited now that I get to use it with all my other resources. So any quibbles from me over the images are just that.

The above snippet was taken in Reading View (F11) at 1920x1200. You can see a small bit of normal sized text at the top with the image at the bottom; and you can see how it is far from readable. Hopefully, this can be addressed by Logos post-release.

I had the 453MB download and then an additional 240MB download. I agree, it would be nice to know what was downloading.

  • Re: ESV Study Bible

For taking as long as it did to get the ESV Study Bible to Logos, I'm surprised it seems to be missing functionality I would expect to see. That's not to say I'm ungrateful, but Logos has just spoiled us with the inter-linking of material, popups/popovers, etc. in the texts. For example, page 1790 in the ESV Study Bible has the Herodian Dynasty. The

  • Re: Comparable Logos 4 resource to this dead-tree book?
Send it in as a suggestion to suggest (at) logos (dot) com. That way it'll get noticed. These threads on the forum sometimes don't get seen by Logos employees; there are too many for them to keep on top of.
Done. Thanks for the addy for sending suggestions to Logos. I'm glad others seemed to find it as interesting

  • Comparable Logos 4 resource to this dead-tree book?

I'm interested in a comparable Logos 4 resource to this dead-tree book: " Christian Theologies of Scripture: A Comparative Introduction" by Justin Holcomb. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0814736661 Is such a comparable resource available already in the Scholar's Library of Logos 4 or is there an additional resource in the Logos library that I may

  • Bible Study Magazine in Logos

This may have been asked before, but is there a reason why Bible Study Magazine is not offered in Logos, but only in dead tree format? I'm a subscriber to the mag, but it would be beneficial to have it in Logos. I'm very surprised that it wasn't/isn't offered to subscribers as a free Logos book that can integrate with v4.

  • Logos 4a: Word Search (bug report)

(This isn't mission critical, but my son wanted me to print out a word search for him for Isaiah 7:14...they are learning it in kindergarten), but I found two different bugs. 1. You select a verse, create a word search, then set the type of word search to passage. While the passage listing is displayed below the word search with the words bolded in

I'm running Win7 x64 Ultimate, quad core with 12GB RAM. Unfortunately, I'm just running RAID 5 on spindle drives, so I get envious when I see the start up and search times in the training vids ;) They HAVE got to be using SSDs for those speeds :) Really, it's a combination of RAM and hard drive speed. 5400rpm drives on laptops will give you slow search

Reading the description in Pre-Pub, I can't tell if the sermon archive includes the MHC/Driscoll released material also (sermon notes/outlines/booklets). Anyone know?
