the best dispensational Bible scholars are Bible scholars first, and dispensational second (I'd say the same for the best Calvinist scholars). This is even more true in the commentary genre, in my experience.
IMHO, I would tend to agree. Dispensationalism is not as critical is one's hermeneutic (there's some overlap
Michael, From the standpoint of scholarly contribution, I'd say this is looking to be one of the finest evangelical commentary sets out there. Logos did quite a good job in pairing each author with what is generally their own field of expertise. For example, Eugene Merrill has done quite a bit of work in Deuteronomy, as

  • Re: Announcing Evangelical Exegetical Commentary Payment Plans

Overall, I'm excited about the series and will buy it sometime...but here are some of my humble thoughts that come to mind.... 1. It would be nice to be able to see the first volume in June in it's completed form first and still be able to opt-in to a plan after it is released. 2. Since the entire set won't be done until 2019, if I read things correctly

A related question....when I prioritize, it prioritizes a series (ie. WBC, EBC, or whatever). Is there a way to prioritize individual commentaries if they are in a series for particular books? i.e. if I want WBC for 1 Peter, but EBC for 1 Thessalonians?

You know, I just added up the Zondervan Budle (for $2025) of all the individual volumes and they added up to the same price! http://www.logos.com/product/5656/zondervan-bible-reference-bundle In other words, you're buying a bundle with no added discount. You just get books you probably might not otherwise buy.

Thanks....! So, I have a multi-core processor. Will it slow everything down? Or simply take up one core? i.e. if it slows everything down, then I may just do it overnight after I leave work. If it just takes up one core, I can just use Logos while I'm working throughout the day and do my other stuff.

(i.e. is Logos authorised by the publisher to offer a discount).
From what I understand, I believe that Zondervan and a couple of other publishers will not allow the sales team to offer any further discounts. The comparisons are really helpful. Do you have a couple other words you can post for me for comparison? The screen shots are much appreciated, but it's blurry even when I blow it up on my screen. Joe
