• Page Numbers for Bible Knowledge Commentary?

I'm studying in First Kings. With the NAC, I can go to the textbox with the reference and type the word "page" and it will show me the page number. Good stuff. But with the BKC, I can't get it to work. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the BKC is numbered as a 2 volume set? Appreciate any help with this small item.

  • Re: Mac Alpha is making consistent progress

Alpha 11 was certainly a good release for me. As 13 inch MacBook user, having the contextual menus pop *on* the screen is most helpful, and a working cmd-C copy is, well, normal. So even though progress feels slow, I'm glad there's progress! And as a software developer, I fully understand how slow development can be; better to be slow and good than

  • Re: Logos 4 icon in my menu bar -- the new normal?

I will let you know. At this moment, the menu bar icon says it is downloading updates. Regrettably it's been stuck at 95% for a while. I'll try and be patient.

Sigh. It's stuck here. Even after a reboot of my MacBook. Ideas on how to jumpstart the downloading process? TIA

  • Re: Logos 4 icon in my menu bar -- the new normal?

Ok, started following your instructions. I canceled indexing and downloading, and the icon disappeared. When I restarted L4, it started up again and apparently figured out how to finish downloading on its own. After a few minutes the menu bar icon disappeared. Apparently this is not the new normal after all. Thanks.

  • Re: Doh! Are page numbers gone?

You have footnotes? I don't get footnotes (Word for Mac 2008). Do I need to turn that on somewhere?

  • Re: Doh! Are page numbers gone?

Well, you are correct. Regrettably, it's not so useful. I don't know the page number a priori. When I need a footnote, I don't want to start guessing what page I'm on. Hopefully they will add button or such to toggle back and forth. Thanks for your help, Donovan.

  • Bug: Searching Footnote Text in Basic Search

I was experimenting with various types of searching in the Basic Searching and decided to try and find text in a footnote: The good news: Basic Search found the reference to Robinson's commentary, which is in footnote #48. The bad news: When I put my cursor over the #48 (in the search results, not in the NAC itself), the tooltip displays the content

  • A16 Bug: vertSep visible in Collections

Working in Collections, noticed that there's some "vertSep" text in the middle. I assume this is a vertical separator whose text simply needs to be set to invisible.

  • A16a Bug: Search suggestions limited to last word

I was wanting to search for a phrase this morning, so I went to search and typed in my phrase. The search window helpfully supplied some suggestions, but these suggestions seem to ignore all but the last word in my phrase, like so: Maybe this is a feature, but it looks like a bug. BTW, this did not prevent the search itself from working. When I ignore

Thanks for the suggestion, Stephen, but in this case I wanted to search my Bible Dictionaries. I was trying to find a specific article.
As for your search, in L4 PC when you do a search, at the top of the results it will list dictionary entries on that specific topic. The Mac version doesn't have that yet.
Thanks, Chris. Guess I'll have to be patient.

Confirmed that the multiple hits does not appear in the regular NA27.
Since you are searching in an Interlinear book the search is bringing over the multiple times that the individual word is displayed.
Well, I suppose this is a "feature," but it seems to be a rather undesired one to my way of thinking. • A17 Text Comparison

The release notes say Text Comparison supports horizontal and vertical layout, and indeed it does: It also says show differences and show base text are fully functional. Can someone explain to me what these are actually doing? When I select show diffs, it simply strikes through the other verses, even when the English translations is identical. And how
there's no way of 'unhiding' the resources
Tested and confirmed, though I'm not losing any sleep over missing Targums. Still, if I absolutely had to get them back, I think I could simply delete L4 and reinstall from scratch. Might take a few hours, but everything would be there, right?
