  • Continued free use on Kindle?

I have logos 4 downloaded on my Kindle and I use it for free. I have two questions: 1) Will Logos on Android cease to be free once Cloud goes commercial? 2) If not, what are the advantages Cloud will have over the free software, considering that in a month's time we'll have to pay for it?

  • Re: Brevard S. Childs bundle

Oh, things have changed a bit since the last time I checked. For example, I don't remember the Isaiah commentary being available for purchase as an individual book, only as part of a set. I know that his Introduction to the Old Testament is only available as part of a set and his New Testament as Canon is not available at all. Furthermore, if all these

  • Brevard S. Childs bundle

There's a growing interest in the work of the Biblical scholar Brevard S. Childs. As far as evangelicals are concerned this may be primarily on the academic level, but I sense taht this interest is also filtering down pastors as well. Childs wrote ground breaking works in the fields on OT/NT introduction, OT theology, and Biblical Theology, he wrote

  • Integrate EVERNOTE

It would be great if Logos could integrate Evernote into its software, perhaps in a similar way to Microsoft's Outlook.

  • Re: Personal books from pdf?

Thank you, both of you. I'll have a look at the third party programmes and see what they can offer me.

  • Personal books from pdf?

Is logos planning to make it possible to create personal books from pdfs and not just Word documents?

Could someone explain to me what "amazon KFTT" means when displayed with a tick-box in the info page of logos books? It seems to have something to do with kindle fire HD ... . Thanks in advance, Phil.

  • Re: Software won't start

Hi all, Thank you so much for your responses and sorry for the late reply. Before you responded I did a system restore to the day before and everything worked more or less OK. I figured, however, the problem would come back again, but it didn't. Not sure what all that means but the main thing it's working now. Cheers, Phil.

  • Software won't start

My logos 5 software has suddenly stopped working (I use Windows 7). The message I get is as follows: "the exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x76e7c41f." I know little about computers and urgently need a solution as I have deadlines and am dependent of logos for my work!

  • Bibliography of my library

It is difficult for me to have an overview of all the books I own on logos. Is there a way I can quickly print a bibliography of everything? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Re: Glitch with A-F syntax search

Thank you both of you, I think I've figured out the problem. This seems to only occur when you take one of A-F's standard templates which use the subject CIC and then alter it to suit your own needs. If you start from scratch this doesn't happen. Odd.

  • Glitch with A-F syntax search

I use the A-F syntax search a lot and need things to work smoothly. There is an annoying glitch with the CIC box. If I select all the elements in 'Subject', do a search and then remove them in order to insert another set of search criteria (e.g. 'Location' rather than 'Subject'), a category remains which does not appear in the list of options on the

So, please ignore the last idiotic question about usernames. The instructions here http://community.logos.com/forums/p/44395/330581.aspx#330581 solved my problem.

I just tried this an it didn't work, but then realized that I should have typed in my user name rather than just copying USER NAME ... How do I find out what my user name is? As far as I am aware it is my e-mail address. Do I just paste that in?

I have done all the things Ryan B. has suggested, yet Avira still blocks the .exe when I restart the computer. This thing is driving me crazy!

  • F7 / Compare Bible translations

When I press f7 in order to see other translations of a Bible verse, of the four options that appear, one of them is the Bible I already have open. It just so happens that this Bible is also my no# 1 prioritized Bible. Is it possible to have, e.g. NRSV as a prioritized Bible but not to have it appear in the pop up window? That way I don't get the same

Nielsen, I've just looked at the ones from Ps 3-26 and couldn't find any. I was writing from memory of looking at the superscriptions in general. I'm guessing I made a mistake or I've confused the problem with something else ... sorry for writing without double checking! Dean Forbes, I'm glad to hear to book is still scheduled to come out, I've been

A more grave example of inconsistencies in my book is their tagging of the superscription in the psalms. Note the different ways they tag the same phrase מזמר לדוד.

  • Re: Problems syncing Qumran collection with English translation

Thank you all for your responses. Hi Vincent, I'm using the same system as you (Windows). The highlighting seems to work this time (not sure what I did wrong last time), yet I still have problems with the tag. In this screen shot below I added another note (in red) to the NRSV but the same problem reappears:

  • Problems syncing Qumran collection with English translation

I attached a note to Ps 49:12 in the NRSV. When I open my Hebrew versions the note appears attached to v. 13, which is correct, as the Hebrew/English versification of the psalms is different. However, this doesn't work for my Qumran collection. In 4Q85c v. 12 is tagged, when v. 13 ought to be tagged. The same problem applies to complementary highlighting
