• L3 Default Bible Font

Does anyone know what the default Bible font is in L3? I have been playing with a coulpe of scripts that allow you to change the font to anything you want, but there seems to be a performance hit in L3 when using certain fonts. For instance if I use Arial or another san serif font like Segoe UI the program freezes when I try to scroll my linked Bibles
I can't be sure, but it is a serif font & likely TNR.
I know. That's what I have it set to now. But, after adjusting a few other things I think that the freezing I was experiencing probably doesn't have too much to do with the font that's being used. I think it was more related to some parallel resources I had created

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Add (Logos selected) Christian Web Content to the Home Page
The choice of the sites could be a "bit" more varied than what you suggested - depending upon the user's point of view, those sites may not exactly "mix it up a little" - . I would hope that, if your general suggestion were to come to fruition, there would be an option to ~not~ include certain sites for those who do not want to see

One thing is for sure - they need to do something a little extra for security. You wouldn't think that though, because Bellingham isn't known for it's crime rate. We can only hope that the thieves are now actually using Logos 4. Who knows, maybe exposure to Gods Word will do wonders for them .

  • http://library.logos.com - has great potential!

http://library.logos.com has a lot of potential! I hope this - (or a limited version of this) - will be incorporated into the new Logos website so that potential customers will be able to take Logos 4 out for a test drive. If speed & performance are improved I can see the potential for it to even be used by Logos customers when they're away from home
Both sites are run by LOGOS - normally links to outside sites are not allowed on the forums.
Yeah, I know they're run by Logos, but do I need to remove the links? There are other posts with links to them also. Just wondering.

Because

  • SUGGESTION: Add Selected Christian Web Content to the Home Page

I don't know if this has been suggested before or not but it seems to me that if the Home Page is supposed to be kind of like a newspaper then it should include some things that impact our faith from the news. I would like to suggest that Logos add selected news items from places like Crosswalk.com , OnePlace.com , and maybe even from Focus On The Family
I have a question for those of you in the pulpit regularly: How do you prepare to preach? I am not talking about your research and sermon construction but more what happens after your sermon is significantly complete. How many pastors preach from outlines alone? Notes alone? Outlines and notes? Does anyone free form? [/quote

  • SUGGESTION: Mark books as "read" or "not read" in Library View

Suggestion: I'd like to suggest that Logos add a way to mark books that you have read as "read" or "not read" or "in progress" - in the Library view of Logos 4. I don't know if this has been suggested before but it seems to me, with the large amount of books I have available in my Library (Scholar's Gold), that it would be good to be able to tell (

  • TIP: Pop-ups in Library View

TIP: For those of you who have been annoyed by the incessant pop-ups that appear when browsing through your books in the Library view, I stumbled across a sort of solution that seems to work for me. In the Library view, at the top, there is a Resource Information button. If you click that button it opens an Information pane on the right hand side of
Please don't remove those info pop-ups. Just increase the time delay before they show up. Thanks. Peter
Hi Peter, No one is talking about removing them - only a way (an option) to turn them off for people who don't want or need them. And that is what we have effectively found; by turning on the Information pane in the Library
There are lots of wiki pages that will help you find ways to get Logos 4 to work the way you want it to. The problem with having a single dedicated page for "workarounds for getting Logos 4 to work the way you want it to" is that there are hundreds of different ways that people want Logos to work that they aren't able to do
I just did the same test, and it now takes over 15 seconds for the list to be populated the first time. Can some effort be made to improve the performance here. • SUGGESTION: Chuck Swindoll's NT Insights Series Commentary

Has anyone here checked out Chuck Swindoll's New Testament Insights Series Commentary? Here's a link to the Insights Series Product website: http://www.swindollinsights.com I think it's really well done. (I may be biased tho - I like most of his stuff.) I suggest that Logos should pursue obtaining rights to produce this in digital format for Logos Bible

For the new Logos website - I'd very much like to see: A "preview" of several pages for every single book that is available for purchase on the Logos website. There should not be even one book that does not have a "preview". This way the customer can actually "know" what he's getting before he buys. An easy way to tell if you already own a resource

  • SUGGESTION: - Downloadable Videos (User created on Wiki & Logos 3)

I would like to suggest making all of the videos (the user created ones and the Logos 3 Tutorial videos) on the Logos website and the Wiki - available for download . Currently only the official Logos 4 videos are available for download. It would be nice to be able to have them locally so that I don't have to access them online. Just a thought.
