I own several different Bible software's - including the one you mention - so basically I can say I've tried most of them. What I've found is that Logos has so much more depth than all of the other ones I've used. A good description would be to say that most other Bible software's are about 1 (or maybe 2) layer deep in search capability and so on, but
Is a Mercedes a better car than a PT Cruiser to get groceries? Guess it depends on what one needs and how much money they have I suppose.
I still think that there's a much better analogy - when comparing Logos to other Bible programs, because Logos is not an automobile. It's like - ( very similar to ) - comparing the

I know we have the Ctrl+Z function for undoing something we didn't intend to do - (like deleting a note or a custom Guide) - both of which I have done. But Ctrl+Z is sort of a "hidden command". Yes, you can discover it if you search the forums, but I think it should be more obvious. So, I would like to suggest that Logos add an "UNDO" command - (to

Okay, I added it to the UserVoice forum.

I suggested something very similar to this for the NET Bible notes here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/16090/122007.aspx#122007 I think this is a very good idea and could be used in any Bible (or other resource) that has footnotes or cross-references.

I suggest that Logos add the ability to add a new note - to any existing note file - from the right click menu. Adding a new note to an existing Note File should be more intuitive and easy . It doesn't seem to be. I have several different notes (i.e; Note Files) in Logos 4, and the method for adding a new note to one of them should be more straight
agreed...or at least have a submenu with the five or so most recent files
That sounds reasonable to me. Maybe, they could also add one quick link titled - Open All Note Files - which would open all of your Note Files (collapsed of course by default) in a new tab/pane so that you can navigate through them too. And also

Everything in Logos 3 has been working fine until the last week or two. But now, whenever I scroll my bible and my linked commentaries the program freezes for 10-20 seconds before it finally jumps partially to where I was scrolling it. Then it freezes again. I do have several Bibles and several commentaries open and linked together. I also have parallel

Hi, and thanks for the response. No, this seems to happen no matter what else is running. It happens when I'm running L3 all by itself - or - when I'm running L4 at the same time. It definitely seems to be something that's happening inside of L3. Although I had wondered about the memory issue, as I have only 2 gigabytes on this Windows XP machine. L3

You know, I just checked on my laptop (which has 4 gigs of ram) after making a few minor adjustments to the parallel resource associations and now it's not freezing. So, on second thought, I think you may be onto something with the idea that I may be running out of memory on my Windows XP computer. I'll have to increase the memory and re-test it.

Hello all! I believe I read on the Wiki somewhere, that the Sermon File Add-in was going to be finished and available in the 2nd quarter of 2011. Well, that time has past and I was just wondering if there has been any official word from Logos about it. I sure do wish it was finished. I had it in L3 and I've been looking forward to its release ever since

Logos 4 (and now Logos 5) are awesome as store houses for the tons of resources available - but that brings me to my question . . . What methods do you all use to COMPILE and COLLECT and STORE your research in Logos 4, or 5? What works for you? I'm just trying to figure out a way that will work best for me, and any ideas that you all might have would

Hello all, I have a question: Using Logos 5 - how would you do a search - using the Clause Search or the Topics Search or any other type of search . . . - such that it would give you every result for "In Christ" or "in Him" or "in Jesus" - or any other ways that this idea of being "in Christ" - is expressed in scripture? Hopefully someone knows. Help
Stein - Great suggestion! Here is an idea... I wonder what you think about it? The Sermon Starter Guide can be a saved (named) document. I wonder if it would be possible to add the ability to delete and/or add content to the saved guide? This would allow you to run the guide, delete content that you don't prefer, and add content

Hi All, I just upgraded to version 5 - (Gold version for PC). I've been playing with it for a while now, and I just LOVE this new Logos 5 Software - especially with all of the New Features. But there is one major defect in Logos 5. :) When you install it on your computer it doesn't upgrade your desktop icon to a version 5 icon. I think the icon should

Hi all, I recently upgraded from Logos 4 Gold to LOGOS 5 Gold on my home PC and everything went well. Plus all of the new features and resources downloaded and installed without a hitch. But today I tried upgrading from Logos 4 to 5 on my laptop and it didn't completely finish downloading all of the new resources (books). Mainly because after version

I have a few suggestions for the new Sermon Starter Guide feature in Logos 5. In looking for a way to gather together all of my research on a particular passage, or topic - in preparing a sermon - and keeping it all inside of Logos 5 . . . I would like to see: 1. ABILITY TO ADD CONTENT FROM ELSEWHERE WITHIN LOGOS I would like to see a new feature added

Hello, I upgraded to Logos 5 Gold - straight across from Logos 4 Gold. And so far, I like the new version. But I can't seem to get the Phrase Concordance feature to work. I know that it's supposed to be enabled within the Bible Word Study feature - but when I search for a phrase nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something I need

Hello, I have a suggestion for the highlighting pane that opens up in the Windows version of Logos. PLEASE: Make a section at the top of the Highlighting pane that shows Recent Styles like in the iPad app. It should show at least the last 5 highlighting styles you've used - (& maybe more). That way you wouldn't have to scroll through a long list of

Hello, I have a suggestion that I believe would improve the iPad/iOS version of Logos Bible Software. Please create a nicer, more graphical "Home" page for when you first open the iOS version. When I open Logos on my iPad, I'm presented with what looks like a plain old list of reading plans and devotionals. That's ALL. That's it! (that and the navigation
