  • Re: iOS Reader Suite 4.0 Release Notes

The new design does look good. However, I'm most pleased by the speed. Before upgrading top the latest iOS I found logos a bot slow in my iPad. When I updated to the latest iOS it went really s-l-o-w... But now, with the new logos version, it absolutely speeds along! Highlighting text and flicking through my pages is perfect!!! Thank you

I am playing around with my new 32gig wi-fi iPad! It is amazing reading the text - so clear. My main reason for purchase was Logos, reading and note taking rather than in depth study. It is perfect, better than I expected. And the logos app is snappy on it too. I just need to make sure my family don't steal it now. We had great fun this afternoon creating

  • Re: Getting New iPad

Yes I've ordered. I've been holding off for the better display which should make it better to read. I had to wait until this morning though as I couldn't get on the Uk store. I can't wait to load up logos on it!

Alabama, I agree with your 123 preference. This would be perfect for note taking.

  • Re: PBB's Website?

Wow Mark that is great! I think having date added would be very useful to quickly see what you may have missed since your last visit. Topic would also be useful, particularly for people that may want to be selective in what they add. Thinking aloud, what is the merit of including the milestones info here? Is it so that it shows the "quality" if the

I agree there is no point in duplication for the sake of it. As fgh points out there will be some that will not be posted here on the forums. Also, from a usability point a view I expect in about 6 months the list will start to get difficult to find things. But certainly it is great at the moment. As far as I could see when I last checked Stilltruth

Hi Steve, The link is below. I had a long period last year of not posting having been busy with life but am now "back into the groove" of adding items, though there is a need for a spring clean very soon (particularly the recommended box on page 1 - I'm not sure why some items are on there! In fact I'll probably change that tonight!!!) http://www.freechristianresources

Currently they all get loaded into the files menu. I was thinking of creating a place on my website to include all of the new items. My website is focused on sharing free Christian resources that are available (legally) across the internet - so it would be a good fit. Longer term there will be the ability to share them via some method that logos will

  • Re: Logos 2.0 for iPhone and iPad is now available!

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it will not work on my device (ipod touch 2nd gen, ios 4.2.1) but this just isn't happening for me. I've done a hard reset to try to flush out gremlins to no effect. I've also tried it in both logos and vyrso 1. I can't actually even read my books now as the text is shunted to the right by about 10%, leaving

  • Re: Ram

Also, as Paul states it is quite a cheap thing (comparatively) to do. In fact I purchased the new 16GB ram for around £100 and was then able to sell the original apple ones that the computer shipped with for about £50 so the upgrade cost was minimal.* *NB my memory of numbers, despite being an accountant, is poor, so these numbers may not be 100% accurate

  • Re: Ram

This is not a fair comparison as there are other factors at play as well but I have logos installed on both my macbook pro (4GB) and my wife's iMac (16GB). It is much, much snappier on the iMac. Sadly I don't get to use her iMac very often! Of course, you'll also probably have some other software open as well which uses up some of the 4GB - so I definitely

  • Re: Suggestion: use xlsx to create PBB for interlinear

I expect you should be able to do something with the file you have. Attached is an excel sheet that I use which takes a commentary (copied from logos) then adds a few search things. In word I then type in my own commentary . 4061.Commentary - Line by Line.xlsx Anyway, the key part of the file is 'column P'. This has the text/code that will be pasted

Strange... It didn't for me. Unless there was something else wrong with my formatting at that point maybe? Oh well, thankfully that part of the macro did not take long to do!

  • PB Macros for Word - Bible Verse Milestones

Some of the books (and my sermons) I've been trying to compile into PBs needed a slightly quicker way for me to get the Bible Verse Milestones working. Often for instance I would have Genesis 1:2-3, written in my notes; which I wanted to transform to: [[@Bible: Gen 1:2-3]] Genesis 1:2-3. Finally, After much googling I've manage to cobble together two

  • Re: Galatians Commentary recommendations

Thanks for the responses so far. Dave, I'll be preaching about one in six of the sermons, and this will be my main use. Although I would also like to follow along whole series so I'll have studied it well/deeper than simply listening to the other sermons that are preached.

  • Galatians Commentary recommendations

We're about to start a new sermon series going through the book of Galatians which I am very excited about. Does anyone have any recommendations for excellent commentaries/books on this book? I have the platinum logos edition, but am more than happy to buy an extra book if it's not in part of that package. Thanks!
