Thanks for the explanations Bradley - very helpful in understanding why I am not seeing what I expected.

Thanks Bradley - just wanted to make sure that the latest 'report' got looked at as it may help them to reproduce the problem.

Bump! Any response from Faithlife on this issue and the last lot of logs which also provide a detailed scenario on how to reproduce the problem?

  • Re: Bible Word Study and Septuagint References

Hi MJ and thanks I had NIV set as the preferred Bible and it doesn't include the so-called apocryphal books so I changed it to NRSV (which does have the so-called apocryphal books) and it makes no difference to the Septuagint translation section of BWS (which uses LXX Swete) BUT the Sirach references do now appear in the NRSV translation ring so that

  • Bible Word Study and Septuagint References

I am not sure if this in unique to Logos 8 or a more general issue, but when I do Bible Word study for a term which appears in both the non-apocryphal and apocryphal books, the 'LXX translation' section only lists references in the non-apocryphal section when I click on the central word to generate the reference list. If you scroll down to the 'textual

  • Re: Accidental Closure of Tabs

Thanks for your reply Reuben. If you are not seeing the link letters disappear then there is clearly a difference between the Mac and Windows versions. - The Windows version may have a problem! If I closed some of my tabs then some of the remaining tabs would have the link letter but others wouldn't. I don't have any real issue with the 'x' icon not

  • Re: Accidental Closure of Tabs

For those who are not seeing what the screen looks like when you have lots of tabs open the attached image shows the tabs and the missing 'x' close icons (except in the active tabs) but the space taken up by them. Also because of the number of tabs, the compressed nature of them, and the space taken up by the 'x'icon (whether visible or not), none of

Thanks for the suggestion Dave - so I recreated the layout from scratch and I can reproduce the problem at will. To enable Logos personnel to more easily track this problem down the attached zip file contains the details of the layout with the resources I have in each pane and how they are linked along with the Logos.log file and the crash files. I

  • Re: Accidental Closure of Tabs

Thanks for the replies and those who pointed to the re-open a tab command which I didn't know about - that is helpful. I also realise that many will not see this as a problem because they only have a few tabs open. The problem really appears when you have a dozen or more tabs open in a pane and the headers are compressed so that all you can often see

  • Accidental Closure of Tabs

Is anyone else really annoyed by accidentally closing tabs because the close 'x' icon now sits next to the book cover image in each tab header and if you don't position your cursor EXACTLY on the book cover image and are a little to far to the right you end up closing the tab. I have done it so many times and it is really annoying; and so is the need

  • Re: BUG: Logos crashing (on occasions) when using series and linked sets

Thanks Bradley I tried to reproduce the problem by creating a brand new layout but with only 3 tabs in each pane and I could not reproduce the problem. However, if I go back to my already existing layout which has 16 resources open in the left hand pane (13 in Link set A, and 2 in link set B - The NIV and NHS/UBS5) and 12 resources in the right hand

Here is another set of crash logs for this problem. I can also give a little more information about the circumstances. I am running on Windows 10 with Logos 8.0 SR1. There are multiple tabs open in each of 2 panes. In one of the panes I have the NIV linked to the UBS5 text via linkset B (i.e. 2 of the tabs in the same pane - there are other tabs in

  • BUG: Logos crashing (on occasions) when using series and linked sets

[Reposted from another thread as it may be a different issue to that thread] I have had a few crashes (logs for one attached) which seem to be related to a linking and series issue. I have BHS SESB 2.0 and UBS5 in a series and then linkset them to the NIV. What should happen (and it works most of the time) is that when I move from verse to verse in

I'm also in Australia (South Australia) and the first load of the home page (I switch to it as I don't open to it) takes 8-15 seconds but after initial load switching back and forth is quite quick. After a program restart, the home page is again slow to load - also typically the dashboard will show about 3-4 seconds before the explore section.

And I can tell you that I didn't have them so I set the scaling to 90% and then they appeared. Back to 100% and then they disappeared. Clearly the reduced scaling causes this problem.

  • Re: Logos Hanging With Latest Update

Thanks Randy - I killed off the Logos process in Task Manager (about the fifth time I've done that) and then restarted Logos with the Ctrl-key held down and this time it started okay, and then rebuilt the catalog (since I had deleted it). Shutdown of Logos and then a restart normally now works okay and the Logos process is no longer sitting on 13% of

  • Re: Logos Hanging With Latest Update

Restarts make no difference - done that a couple of times. Then deleted catalog.db and let Logos rebuild it (the attached logs show this happening). In my case the Logos flash screen flashes up and then disappears. In the last startup also got a message about preparing the library (which could take a while) as a result of deleting the catalog.db file
