• Re: Logos 6 slow or sluggish response - Win 8, 8GB RAM

Thanks for the suggestion, Mark! I wasn't using much in the way of visual filters, no 'links to open panels', which I've heard can slow things down, and no custom filters (I don't even know how to use those yet). I did a test and unchecked all the visual filters in the resources, but I still didn't notice any improvement in speed when switching between

OK, thanks for the ideas :) Actually, I figured out that the time it takes to switch between open resources/tabs depends on the size of the resource. So if I open up a few small books, I can switch between them instantly, which is nice. But switching to a large resource, like a Bible dictionary (huge tomes when in print), or even a Bible, takes more

Thanks for the replies guys! Dave, I actually was meaning that switching between resources that are already opened/loaded takes longer than expected. I have no problem waiting a bit to open up a new resource - in fact, opening new resources seems very quick to me. But once the resource is open, and presumably loaded into the RAM, I wouldn't expect it

  • [resolved] Logos 6 slow or sluggish response - Win 8, 8GB RAM

Hi all :) I've had this issue ever since I got Logos 6, and it's not a fatal problem, but it's a bit annoying. Basically Logos 6 seems to be just a bit slow or sluggish at everything. I've spent ages on the forums, and seen lots of people discussing it, but no solution has been offered. It doesn't matter whether I have two resources open or ten resources

  • Re: Logos BibTeX export data seems faulty

Thanks Dave and Greg! Dave, thanks for the link to that discussion. It seems that you are right - the citation data that Logos exports is of poor quality and needs to manually corrected. Well, I'm glad to hear it's not just me. Seems a shame though, that Logos can't export quality referencing data as BibTeX or another format! Oh well :( Greg, thanks

  • Logos BibTeX export data seems faulty

Hi all! I'm using a third party referencing/bibliography program, and when I export citation data from Logos 5, in BibTeX format (or any other useable format), the data that is exported contains errors. Most notably, those titles which Logos identifies as type Encyclopedia, Lexicon, or Journal, incorrectly have "misc" as the resource type. Also, various

  • Re: Free Logos 5 Engine + Clause Search?

Hi Tom! I'm in the same situation as you :) What did you buy to get the 'clause' search? Did you buy both minimal crossgrades (Logos 4 and 5) or did you get a base package (Starter, Bronze, Silver etc) Thanks!

  • Re: Logos 3/Libronix Resource Creation after March 31, 2012

You're a champion, Rosie! My problem was that 'Download Instructions for Previous Versions' is not appearing on my order page. But the URL that you posted fixed the problem, once I substituted the xxxxxxx for my order number as you suggested. Thanks so much! I have my commentary now! Brett

  • Re: Logos 3/Libronix Resource Creation after March 31, 2012

Hi again :) Unfortunately, I can't use Logos 3, as it is prohibitively slow on my ebook. Libronix is great however. In a couple of years I will buy a computer that will run Logos 3, but until then, I have to stick with Libronix DLS 3.0g. I just bought The Expositor's Bible Commentary, but now the option to download/install it on Libronix is missing
newly-created resources shipped after March 31, 2012 will only work in Logos 4.
After March 31, will I still be able to buy resources for Libronix? As in, will everything available for purchase for Libronix now, still be available? I will only have to upgrade to Logos 4 if I want to buy new resources that have not
