  • Re: Logos 6 - Right Choice

My favorite feature is Biblical Event Navigator. This takes the power of a simple chronology and integrates it with the text in an amazing way.

  • Best Search Language for 1, 2, 3 John in Factbook

What is the search language for 1, 2, 3 John in Factbook? I've tried Epistle of John, Epistle of 1 John, Epistle of 2 John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John When I search those it defaults to a topic guide for John with no options for those epistles

  • Re: Maps and other features

Thanks Sean. It's also helpful to understand the mammoth size of the zoomable map project that you guys are undertaking. It makes sense that we wouldn't want to download it. I'll just adjust my terminology to understand "Atlas" is the zoomable online maps, and Maps are in "Biblical places maps" Thank you for being patient and helpful with our learning

Which is why it should be communicated somewhere other than the forums. The label: "ATLAS" infers the place where all the maps will be. I am grateful I finally saw a post " Disappointed with Maps in Logos 6" where I learned the cryptic way to get to the maps...."Oh.......there in their own resource!" We shouldn't have to guess where they are when there

  • Re: New Feature: Propositional Outlines

They are very good. It's fun to go to passages where I have extensive highlighting and click propositional outlines to see how my own study compares.

  • Re: CRASH hang Power Lookup

I obviously don't know what I DON'T KNOW! The menu of power lookup had NONE selected by default. I have no idea how that happened. So...like Dave said, when I clicked FOLLOW it started working. The menu is cryptic as in between it has A B C D etc., inferring that if you want to "Follow" A then you click the respective letter or click NONE. See screenshot

  • Re: CRASH hang Power Lookup

Here is what the instructions say on Power Lookup from here: Basic Training Home Logos Desktop Training Power Lookup By default, the Power Lookup tool will "follow" whichever resource panel is currently active. If you're currently using a Bible, that Bible's footnotes and cross references will be displayed. If you work with a commentary or dictionary

  • Re: CRASH hang Power Lookup

Dave. I understand completely how to follow a resource. Thank you. I have many layouts and know much about Logos. I simply want the program to do what it has always done. Doing only 1 of the things it's always done, i.e. "follow a resource" is not sufficient. My apologies if that's "being awkward". I'll delete the shortcut as you suggested and try a

  • Re: CRASH hang Power Lookup

That would make it "lookup" and not "power lookup" When you select a set of verses and click "Power Lookup", the tool is supposed to look them up. And now it does not. Thanks for trying to help.

I'm not trying to cause a problem, but select, highlighting worked flawlessly for me for years. It's a major feature that I've shown to my classes. I'm curious if it fell to the wayside in an update or does no one else use it?

  • Re: CRASH hang Power Lookup

What I mean by Crash hang is to get the attention of Logos tech support per their instructions on using the log tool. Power Lookup DOES work if you follow and link up panels. What DOES NOT WORK is highlighting verses in one pane and then clicking "Power Lookup" Here is the screenshot.

  • CRASH hang Power Lookup

Power Lookup isn't working. When I highlight a list of references with either power lookup already open or by clicking shortcut, it doesn't work. Power Lookup has lost its power It does not look up the references. 6811.LogosLogs.danlangston.20141024-041743.zip

  • Re: Rich client vs. web applications for Bible study

I agree that having one's library on their machine is highly preferable to the cloud. What is already offered with bible.logos.com and reftagger have highly exceeded expectations for an online user. Honestly, what would anyone (who isn't a bible software fan) who opened a Bible online want? copy and paste, look up a verse reference, insert into a blog
