I have the same experience. Logos 6 runs very slow and almost every action brings up a beach ball. Not all of the features work either. For example, Every time I try to use visual copy I am told the templates are unavailable. If the searching is faster I can't tell because it's so slow overall.

  • Re: Logos Crash on Exit

This has been a problem for me for as long as I can remember. In fact, I don't think I've been able to close Logos without a Force Quit except for a couple of times. Every time I've mentioned it to tech support at Logos all I receive in response is, "That's strange. It shouldn't do that." (Yeah, thanks.) Hopefully this will indeed fix it.

  • Re: OSX Mavericks - Logos 5

So far it runs on Mavericks. I had to attempt sign in several times before it worked. Then it took almost twenty minutes to open and it runs even slower than it did under Lion (if that's possible). I at first had trouble when I attempted to copy and paste to Pages (which I am using more and more as I try to leave MS world behind permanently) but after

Logos wouldn't let me post my last comment (i'm not sure why). According to Roaring Apps, Logos is not compatible with Mavericks. Some on here have said that it is working on Mavericks so I don't know if Logos simply didn't report or if it doesn't work for everyone. Either way, Logos could have done a better job communicating on this.

According to Roaring Apps ( http://roaringapps.com/apps ), Logos is not yet compatible with Mavericks. I do not know if this means Logos simply hasn't reported compatibility or if it truly isn't. Based on previous posts on this thread it is working for some. Since I use Logos almost every day, I guess I'll have to wait for Logos to let us know before

Btw, I think Logos should at least put something on their support page (or even their home page) when major software upgrades come out (whether Windows or Mac) alerting users to its compatibility and any known issues. For the money I've spent on the 3500+ volumes in my library, I don't think that's asking too much. I shouldn't have to go poking around

Logos 5 (and 4) has never shut down without a Force Quit anyway so this will not be a problem for me.

This has been a problem for me since Lion. I don't know that Logos 4 or 5 has ever quit for me on OSX without a Force Quit. When I've mentioned it to tech support all I'm greeted with is, "Huh. It shouldn't do that." But no solution. I've simply learned to live with it.

  • Re: Click here to download updates

I shouldn't be on an old version of Logos 5. I am unable to tell, however, since I cannot find anywhere on Logos.com what the latest version of Logos is. I am currently running 5.1a SR-1 (5.1.1.0600). I am sure, however, that this problem began before I was on this update since this has been going on for a while, I've only recently gotten annoyed enough

  • Click here to download updates

I have Logos 5 for Mac set to manually download updates (to avoid having them downloading at inopportune times). The problem is that the link that says "click here to download updates" never works. I always try the one under the toolbar when it appears and it never works so when that doesn't work I click the "x" and a warning appears next to the sync

Matt: My MBP came with 4 GB and it wasn't sufficient, especially when I was running Logos. I upgraded to 8 GB and have not had a problem since except the usual problems that come with running Logos.

  • Re: Again Force Quits for Logos on Mac

Jack: I'm curious why, if there are so many threads devoted to this (as your post implies) Logos hasn't developed a fix for it. I've been running Logos 4 then 5 on a Mac for almost two years and I have never once, not ever, in either one, seen it close without requiring a Force Quit. It doesn't matter what's open, what's not open, or if nothing's open

  • Re: Two Indexers...Again

I'm skeptical about your claim that rebooting should prevent this. The last time I had two and rebooted Logos opened a third and crashed every time I tried to open it. Are you saying that I should reboot before downloading updates etc.? Because that isn't something I should have to do to update an app.

  • Two Indexers...Again

A few weeks ago Logos opened a second indexer while it was indexing and then later opened a third. This resulted in Logos crashing and not reopening. This meant I had to spend almost an hour on the phone with tech support. They ended up having to delete the index file, and reindex my entire library (3,500-plus volumes) which took several hours. Now

  • Re: Personal note text size

On a related note, I'm wondering why the window for the note is so small. When I turn it landscape it only takes up half the screen and on portrait it's even less. I'm guessing this would make it difficult to preach/teach from since you can only see a little bit of the note at one time.

I'm surprised you can't replicate this because I've been using Logos on a Mac since I switched back to Mac in October of 2011 (Log s4 then upgraded to Logos 5 and I use it every week and most days of the week) and I have never, not a single time, ever, gotten it to close without a force quit. Doesn't matter if I close it at the end of the day or leave

I'm surprised to hear you say this. Logos is hands-down the slowest program I run. I thought nothing could be slower than Logos 4 and thought certainly they have improved this in Logos 5 but, no, Logos 5 is even slower than Logos 4. I know it is not my mac since it's only a year old and running double the RAM it came with. Plus, this is the. only. program

Dan: I am the one who owes you an apology. I apologize for expressing my frustration with Logos in an unrelated and inappropriate forum and in a manner so unkind in spirit and in tone. I appreciate your moving me to the front of the line; you did not have to and I certainly did not deserve it, but I am grateful. I also apologize to those over whom I
