• Re: Fire Bible will make Logos 6 perfect

Just realized I should have said thanks to Gabe back upthread. Sorry about that. Once Logos gets the Fire Bible incorporated into its resources, I'll have every "essential" resource I've ever longed for. That doesn't mean there aren't many other resources I'd like to also own, but if they can add the Fire Bible I'll be able to use Logos, and only Logos

  • Re: A HUGE plea and concern for Logos

Yes, we do now finally have the Adam Clarke Commentary. And that was my third most requested and important resource. Having said that, the two primary resources that are thoroughly Pentecostal are the Fire Bible (aka Life in the Spirit; Full Life Study Bible) and the Full Life Bible Commentary on the NT. These are essentials that I've asked for since
What other software is The Fire Bible available in? I can't find a digital copy of it any where.
Both Accordance and PC Study Bible offer this resource, and have for some time now. Logos is really, really behind on my #1 most important resource product.

I'm going to keep pushing for this resource until Logos gets it. It's so necessary to having a well-rounded Pentecostal library. Please get it done soon, Logos!

  • Re: Faithlife Connect - I'm out!

I too have turned off the auto-renew. I actually have my Logos Now subscription until the very last day of the year. I'll hold off buying the L7 FFS for now as I assume I'll probably have almost 2 months to see what L8 will look like before I have to make a decision. My biggest frustration is that Bob's explanations about less books being bought are
I'm Church of God and what bothers me most is the mislabelling of resources as Pentecostal.
I won't disagree with you on that one either. A lot of resources are being labeled Pentecostal when they should be labeled either Charismatic (and yes, there's a pretty big difference).

There's a way to see the labels for them? In the store or in Logos? I don't know of any way to identify the traditions within Logos. Within the store, I know I can click on Pentecostal/Charismatic

  • Re: Studying Jude? Seen this?

Nice. But it's missing a couple of solid Pentecostal resources that should be added to at least allow for some representation from that theological line. They are the notes from the "Fire Bible" and the "Full Life Bible Commentary on the New Testament."
For me, it would still be very helpful if it were just limited to: Positions held Who holds/held them Scriptural basis appealed to by supporters of the position Links to resources supporting each position
This would be incredibly helpful to me. And while I'd appreciate having Scriptural documentation from each individual
Anyway, this whole discussion reminds me of some articles I pulled up when looking into plagiarism in the pulpit, and I found this one amusing:
Thanks for sharing that, William. I think that brother has stated my feelings perfectly. We are all semi-plagiarius. LOL In all seriousness, I fear that if people are
There is some labelling some of which I understand some of which remains a mystery to me. If you simply type "Pentecostal" into the bar at the top of your library you then look in detail at the contents of the title, subject and other fields you will probably find some books that are in the results which you cannot explain

  • Re: Jesus Followers in the Roman Empire

Any discussion of Jesus that even slightly implies He didn't know exactly what was to come - in any way, shape or form - is completely incompatible with Him being God. I understand we discuss things, at times, from a human linear perspective, but it's a slippery slope whenever we suggest Jesus didn't know every single aspect of what the end result of

  • Where do you find the Geneva, Tyndale and Wycliffe bibles?

I just upgraded and these are all supposed to be part of the upgrade but when I looked in my library under "Bible" they were not there. Are they filed in a different area?

Okay, thanks. My mistake was looking for the Geneva first after upgrading to Silver. When I couldn't find it I assumed none of them had been added. But as others have noted the Tyndale and 2 Wycliffes are there. When is the Geneva coming?

As long as it includes the Fire Bible (aka Full Life Study Bible/Life in the Spirit Study Bible) notes and articles I'm all in. That is the #1 item from the Assemblies of God. It's a must. Please make it happen, Logos.
