• Re: Bibles offline on iPad

It looks like Dave did do something about it . Maybe he has to look into it again. I wonder if it would be possible not to remove books immediately when the user is thought to be signed out, and only doing so when he signs into another account ? That gives the user the opportunity to sign on his own account again without losing books, and would avoid

  • Re: Bibles offline on iPad

I don't have an iPad (yet) but I suspect that what you're seeing is related to this bug . I have lost all my books a couple of times going in and out of a network connection (in my case good and bad 3G reception), and the books were gone when device was offline when the app (my guess) thought that it was online and cannot authenticate and removed all

  • Re: SUGGESTION: The NET Bible Notes - add a viewing pane

Thanks for your great suggestion! It's working now after unlinking the NET bible from my other panels and making a new link set for it. Not as convenient but I can live with that.

  • Re: SUGGESTION: The NET Bible Notes - add a viewing pane

Rosie: That looks nice! I tried the same but I lose the NET notes soon as another pane (another bible) in the application gets the focus. Do you know if there is a way to ask Power Lookup to stick to a resource? DHG: How did you get it to work? The Net bible notes don't appear as a separate resource for me (I can't find it in the library).

It has long passed the 50% line and is now at 64.3% for me, but I don't have as big a library as yours. Thank you Logos!
Close All | Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery | Update Now
How do you make shortcuts to "Close All", "Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery" and "Update Now"? I can only find instructions on how to add books and layouts in the help.

  • Re: Losing downloaded books?!
Not sure if it is possible, but I wish they would stay on the device and be available only when signed it. So maybe Logos would block access or not even show them when signed out, but when signed it they are available again without deleting them.
That would be great, this solves the problem of users losing their

  • Losing downloaded books?!

I'll lose all my downloaded books when I sign out which I kind of understand, but it is frustrating that I lose them too when the app thinks that I have signed out when I actually haven't! This happened to me time and again when there was ?a glitch going in and out of offline mode (mainly due to poor connection). When a user is thought to be "signed

  • Suggestion: Hebrew syntax books?

I wonder if we could have the following books? I find them very useful but it would be infinately better if they're integrated with Logos. Plus there're too many books at home that I frequently cannot find them when I need them. 1. William's Hebrew Syntax (Ronald J. Williams) 2. A Guide to Biblical Hebrew Syntax (Bill T. Arnold & John H. Choi)

  • Re: How to 'show-off' your Logos 4 library!
Mark, Thanks for this, it is great. I do have one problem, at least with my library. About halfway through all my books stop being "on" the shelves and appear between the shelves. I don't know how you all get your bookshelf to appear in your post so I can't show you unless someone clues me in on how to do that.
I don't know if you've found this out but no one has mentioned it that I can see - if you click on a book, it will open it.
Actually, this works in the iPhone too (tapping on the book cover will open the book in the Logos app) and I find it very cool. A big thanks to Mark and Dave for what you have done!

  • Re: Problem

I suspect Yukiyo's problem may be a problem of Logos under Japanese windows - I had a similar (and other) problems with Chinese Windows, but that was also running under Parallels in Mac so I wasn't sure which one was to blame. Anyway all is fine now after uninstalling the Chinese Windows 7 and installing English Windows.

I checked again today and there are almost 200 new titles in my library! Okay some are new purchases in the pre-pubs (incl. Zondervan titles) and books from the Logos March Madness , even when those are not taken into account there're lots of other new titles made available for the mobile platform. I'm particularly excited on the availability of the

  • Re: etymology

I think that any good resource for etymology of words should examine the cognate languages in some depth, because it would shed light how they influence the meaning if not on the possible origin of the words. I just received the NIDNTT and NIDOTTE and am very pleased with the information they provide in this respect. The other good resource I know that
