Ok I had no interest in George Müller, but after reading the sample pages and seeing that it is available at $18, I'm in. Looks like it's be very interesting to read and now I'm actually looking forward to it.
Well, mine has shipped. Something tells me it won't have a "Made in America" sticker on it.
Wow! How's Logos runing on the iPad, have you been using it, or do you need to wait too April 3 to download apps on it? It'll be another month before I get mine (I ordered the 3G version).
-
Phil, you cannot access the whole library with the app. If you must access all your library, and you have a constant internet connection and your windows supports Remote Desktop Protocol access, you can try using a RDP client (see this thread ). This is how it is working for me: I use Jaadu RDP, with the desktop resolution set to 480 x 320 (so that

Good to hear that you're working on a solution. The other day I was reading something on Logos while riding in a car, and the rotation lock was coming in and out like crazy.
-
James, ave you tried manually deleting the reading plan on the iPhone? You can swipe to delete reading plans on the Home Page in the latest update (v. 1.3).

Thanks Mark, I'm now getting 42, and that is reassuring. I was worried that the addition of 3 books to 38 does not equal 43. It still leaves me scratching my head why they seem to be counting the same things differently every year though.
-
Good, then I'm not missing any books. Looks like the 38 volumes , 40 volumes and 41 volumes Hermeneia are actually the same thing, just that they're counting differently every year.
-
For those of you who have installed or upgraded to Hermenia 2.0, may I know know many Hermenia books are in your library (excluding books like KJV )? I'm asking because I have the old Hermeneia CD-Rom (38 instead of 40 volumes), I'm trying to upgrade with the Hermeneia 2.0 upgrade CD-Rom. I was told by Ausburg Fortress people that if I upgrade my set

I wonder if there's any interest for Strack and Billerbeck’s Kommentar zum Neuen Testament aus Talmud und Midrasch, perhaps as a community pricing item? I noticed the first volume sitting there in the Internet Archive so I guess it is out of copyright already?
I don't think it was a targeted e-mail since I bought the product from Logos a year ago.
I got my HALOT/ BDAG some 1-2 years ago too so maybe they're targeting towards those who own the products already.
-
Or perhaps a setting to let us choose what category of items are displayed and not displayed in our home page?
-
I didn't get the quite the same email, but instead got one that HALOT/ BDAG bundle is on sale (SRP $309.95, price with cupon code $249.95). Is that what they called targeted mailings?
-
I should thank you! You made me look closely and I learned something from it.
-
No, I don't think so. I think they have emended the text to harmonize the object in two otherwise parallel colons, and that's where the 3mp translation came about. I'm more comfortable with 1st person plural translation, it makes sense in context, is legal grammatically, plus there is no emendation of text involved (only repointing of vowels from segol

Dan, thanks for all your help. The EBC has finished downloading, Logos completed indexing and I'm reading it already.
-
Amy, I can see why you are frustrated...
Dan, thanks anyway for taking time to explain the situation. I would not have ordered the whole bundle had I known this was going to happen!!! I'm still most unhappy about the whole thing. Let' see what we can make out of all this.
If you would
What's the concern -- not delivering the commentary, or the wait time?
The commentaries not coming, AND that no one is doing anything to rectify the situation. Is it so difficult? Or am I making an unreasonable request? Actually I'm not looking for "fairness", the world is not perfect thus not fair BUT I think people

Maybe I don't have an accent (is that possible???) but every time I call I'm being hold for 30 minutes regardless of whether I tell them it's a long distance call or not. That is irritating but I can understand, at least they seem to be trying. But. What happened tonight is unacceptable What about Logos also being fair to the faithful users who believe
-
That's what's happening to me just now, I called CS and after 30 minutes being on hold (and I'm calling from Hong Kong), I was told that I have to wait until the whole bundle is ready before I could have the EBC. Mark, I don't understand how you can remain so composed despite the arrangement. I think it is ridiculous and I'm totally unhappy about it

After some research into the subject I'm changing my mind. The primiary problem in the verse seems to be the difference in object of the two colons (you protect ?them vs. you guard ?him ), and I think the various translations that we see tries to harmonize the object of the two colons one way or the other. We can see harmonization in the reading in
