Logos has not dropped the discrete video card from their hardware recommendations. So presumable there is still significant speed advantage to having discrete video. https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/hardware
That is a good point. I haven't seen that page on the hardware recommendations. I was just wondering if that

Hello friends, What I have read about Haswell so far sounds really great. A significantly reduced TDP means less energy consumption AND heat and noise emission and that is very important for a quiet working environment (with my Bible!). So I will wait for the next generation to arrive (and hopefully get along with the changes in the ThinkPad brand)

Hello friends, Thank you very much for your helpful comments! I'm working with Lenovo ThinkPads for more than 7 years now and can't imagine working with something else So it will become a ThinkPad again. BTW: I'm totally a windows guy
I had read that discrete graphics was almost a "must have" so when I shopped for a laptop

  • Going to buy a new notebook and considering discrete graphics

Hello fellow Logos Users, I'm going to replace my almost 5 year old notebook with a new one. Logos is one of the most important software on my machine and so it has much influence on the configuration My only question aims at the graphics card. Does it help Logos significantly to invest in a discrete graphics card (most probably the NVidia NVS 5400M

  • Re: Logos 5 start-up fail on Windows 8

Hello, thanks for the fast and helpful response! My computer doesn't crash only Logos and that is bad enough ... Due to the same Error-Code and similar behavior I assume it's the same problem. Your hint with the check-box for a blank layout worked great! Thank you very much! I've unchecked the blog-entries on the homepage and everything works fine.

Hello everyone, I've got the same problem here and am totaly frustrated because I can't use Logos for my study. I live in Germany, so it is almost not possible for me to call the support team (I can't afford it). Logos 5 crashes immediately, so I am not able to deactivate anything from the homepage. What can I do? I'm thankful for every suggestion!

I have the same problem on my Nexus 7, too. No option to download ESV or many other (prefered) bibles. The beta release fixed that for me! http://downloads.logos.com/Android/Logos/beta/index.html Thanks for the tip! Best regards, Anton

51 pages (A4) for solid colors 29 Inductive some pages for other palattes And I have to say, it's just the beginning of my work with Logos ... I was thinking about the following strategy: One Inductive palette for each of my main bibles (English, German, Hebrew & Greek) One palette maybe for commentaries And one for other resources But it has one major

I'm thinking about a new strategy, too. Is it somehow possible to see how big the note-files are now? It would help me to make my decision. Thanks!

  • Re: Blurred Text in Logos 4

That is really disturbing! But Bradley's post from January indicates that they are still working on it. It would be nice to hear an update from Logos on that issue, i.e. dead or still in progress with some hope for a practical solution. Thanks, Anton

  • Blurred Text in Logos 4

Hello, I'm new to Logos and am now learning to work with it. But there is one thing that bothers me. It seems to me that the text in Logos compared to my Firefox-Browser or MS Word is kind of blurred. I've opened the same book on http://biblia.com and compared it with logos and it is more pleasant to read the book in the internet browser than in logos
