• Re: Academic Pricing in Beta!

MDiv or Divinity doesn't appear to be an option currently for a seminary student. Did this just get missed when the form was made? Really excited about this beta!

  • Library default sorting

Whenever logos is closed and opened again, the default sort for the library tab always returns to "title." Is there a way to change this? It seems like a sort by rank would be a more logical default. Ideally the sorting method just remains whatever the user was last using.

Settings--> Applicaions --> Manage applications --> Uninstall the older of the logos versions you have. You probably still have the non-market installed which you don't need anymore now that there is a market version

  • Re: The Digital Seminarian

I have just realized the benefits of having all my books on logos and not on paper this last semester. I'll be buying everything I can on logos this fall. I have no idea what my books will be though. I don't even have a complete list for my class that starts next week! Professors definitely aren't ready for fall semester yet.

  • Re: Get footnote without copying text

Alabama...what I am asking for is possible because logos already has the information. I realize the second time you insert a reference, you would need to delete information, to leave only the authors name and the page number. Generally the lack of page number and periods instead of commons (as well as order of authors names) is the difference between
What I do now is after the section I want the footnote attached to I just copy a section from that document, paste it in then delete all the text leaving the footnote behind. Then I go to the footnote and rearrange the Bibliography style to fit the footnote style required in Turabian.
Does logos not format the footnote

I have had the same issue for papers I have been writing. It would be great if a solution could be created for this. Two ideas: 1. When you right click on highlighted text one of the options would be to copy the reference to the clipboard and not the selected text. 2. In the clippings section, when the bibliographic section is open (back of the notecard
Is there a category for this information to be easily accessed in the Wiki?
This is a question I had a little while ago when I first started using logos. It would be great if the information could be put on the wiki so that everyone has easy access to it. It wasn't impossible to find for me, but it wasn't simple
What makes you say this word means "choose"?
My brain being tired after looking at too much Hebrew and Greek today. haha I didn't actually translate it that way, but had that was on my mind as I was typing the post. I translated it as serve.

  • Hebrew question on Joshua 24:15

Anybody know why the word for choose, תַעֲבֹדוּן֒ (tavodun) has a nun at the end? Usually the 2mp would just have the shureq as the final letter. I noticed in BDB that Exodus 3:12 which has different vowel pointings for some reason also has the nun. I couldn't find why this was though. Am I blanking on some aspect of hebrew or is this an odd occurance

  • Re: Library Author listing messy?

I agree, the not consistent citing of authors is annoying, but something I can deal with. (Although it should be easy enough for logos to fix) A count next to each item in a collapsed list would be a much more useful improvement in my mind.

If you can use the electronic versions in class (which I'm guessing you cannot) then definitely buy SESB. Especially if you are going to take Hebrew at some point, it will be so much easier for you and a good investment. You can always purchase a reader bible later on for personal study if you don't want to look at the screen. I'm in seminary right
