• Re: Tyndale Commentary Set - Problems with Pricing??

Thanks, Dave. Yes, now that I look, one version gives its file ID and filename as the series/volume and the other lists the same info with a US suffix. For example, TOTC20PR and TOTC20PRUS. Now that I've had a moment to explore a couple of other differences, there are a few incongruities. Unsure whether the US set or (the one that I'll call) the UK

  • Re: Tyndale Commentary Set - Problems with Pricing??
I'm a little confused by this list. How many commentaries (in the series) are there currently for each book in the Bible?
Yes, Joshua, the list is quite confusing. KS4J introduces some helpful language. Some volumes (e.g. Deuteronomy, Esther, Proverbs Mark) are being replaced ; a new author is writing a new volume

Two quick updates on this thread, now that the Tyndale volumes are making a splash with the February sale ( see this thread ).
https://www.logos.com/product/138788/tyndale-commentaries-upgrade ... It may make sense that the 2 Volume Pslams was replaced due to "age", but more curious are other volumes replaced after 5 to 10 years

Sorry to be late to the party. I've always loved this kind of feature ... and have now had a moment to stop and play with it! I'm wondering if there's a typo near the end of the 'About' pane? The screenshot below shows the two detailed search syntaxes given there as examples. The first happily searches for allusions based on Source (from Isaiah). The

  • Re: Error in CSB

I'm simply curious. Is there a list somewhere of the revisions that are made in each update? Something like "release notes" for each subsequent version of a resource?

  • Re: Why isn't Volume 4 of Keener's Acts Commentary combined with 1-3

When I asked the Sales department this weekend, they've confirmed that there are no plans (at least announced) to combine these into a single set. Seems odd when you can buy both the two-volume and three-volume versions. A related question is whether one can turn on/off the "volume" information. Vols 1+2 are treated like a single book, showing page
The advantage (not replacement) of it over having multiple Bibles open with link sets is that it is very quick and easy. • Re: NIDOTTE and extra/incorrect vowels

Just some further confirmation that vowels have been added throughout an article. That means that the inferring of Qal vowels afflicts far more than just the headwords. (And, given that Logos chooses to present NIDOTTE 's transliterated characters with full Hebrew, changes in transliteration conventions can lead to yet further differences to the print

  • Re: Missing Text in Book? Help

Google Book is great. In just a few seconds I'd found the book, seached for "Design Parameters", found that heading on p.147, and then viewed Table 2: it's quite extensive, and spans pp.148–151, with Table 3 spanning pp.152–155. (The resulting URL, at least as it appears to me: https://books.google.com.au/books?id=geqvhH9So-sC&printsec

  • NIDOTTE and extra/incorrect vowels

Someone might be able to direct me to a relevant thread on this topic. But I've skimmed 30 pages of forums covering 'NIDOTTE' all the way back to 2010 without finding anything. I've only just realised a major difference between the print and digital versions of NIDOTTE . All the verb headwords have had vowels added. This includes the pointings / markings

One more variant on all the above. I've had the Libronix (UK?) version of the Tyndale commentaries for some time. And my licence has happily updated all of those to .logos4 in recent years. No problem at all. Over the last few weeks, the US ones have also appeared in my account. So I'm now running both versions. I'm not aware that FL has notified me

  • Re: TOTC/TNTC Publication Date Discrepancies

It's good to remain alert to the issue. Esther is the first example where an older volume has not only been updated by the same author, but where a whole new volume by a new author has been added to the series. From 2012 or so, there's now quite a number of volumes that are either revised or replaced. So this kind of confusion is only going to get worse

Like others, I'm fond of the PBB feature (even though I use it less than I'm sure some others do). Sometimes it's of value for importing my own documents; other times, it lets me integrate external resources that I want to use alongside Logos features. I know every now and again people observe how helpful it might be to be able to import or link PDFs
