• Re: What's this on Logos.com

I've seen it when it claims ONLINE. And one night I think I clicked CHAT and talked with someone to sort a subscription issue in a few moments. I think it was Tom, but not sure now. Saved me writing a long email or making an international phone call.

  • Re: How do I separate out my wife's fiction in Logos & Vyrso please?

I grab most everything when its free, and often take the "One free - one more for 99 cents", but I'm not sure why in some cases. I'm way past doing it so it looks like I have lots of books! As others have answered, careful use of tags and collections lets you slice and dice however you like. I've been using the Favorites feature too, but that does not

  • Re: Britannica and Factbook

Mark, Thanks for the link, as I had not seen that other thread. Even now I've not read the whole thing, but it seems Faithlife is true to their normal high standands of making things right when something gets messed up somehow. So of course, thank you Faithlife, and maybe even thank you EB! I now will not be returning the product, and in fact it seems

  • Re: Britannica and Factbook

I too am disappointed in what downloaded. It might yet be the first product I have returned too. However I'm happy to wait and see what the official response from Faithlife is first. I already have the "real" Encyc Brit. on my iPhone for $15 or something, so something is really out of balance here with what we got for the price. Searching for "quark

Both appear to be working for me in ESV, 6.6 Beta 4. Not tested much, but just clicked them now and they seem to be OK.
I am simply just wanting to politely and respectfully encourage FL to take the next step and not get stuck in a mindset of complacency as to how their mobile apps should function.
Yes - what Tim said! My phone has 1 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash, and the CPU is a dual-core 1.4 GHz beastie. So what was impossible a year
I apologize for what you found offensive, which was not my intent ...
Alabama, While I am not convinced you are correct to discourage people to download as many resources as they want, I accept your right to recommend that to users. But that’s not what upset me - the download thing is just me not agreeing with you and
I agree that 5% isn't worth shouting about. For many people, however, it's the dynamic pricing that is the most attractive part of this 'sale'.
Well, as is often the case, Mark has already said it! There is no way I'm getting any of those multi-thousand dollar packages, but I filled a few tiny gaps with the dynamic

I had understood Logos, now Faithlife, had committed to avoid outages and the like heading into the weekend. Given the nature of the core products and their heavy usage leading up to and during typical church service times?

  • Re: Terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day?

Well my iPad seems to have survived the network outage, but I was not able to check and bid on any CPs that closed at Friday noon. (However we are invited to contact the company and they will honour the CP price. Wow - great company! I'm undecided on one of the two titles, but a clear no on the 2nd.) My hope is they will a) extend those two CPs that

Alabama, Only because you have directly asked me a question: Yes its true you spend a lot of time attempting to help people. And if you review my hundreds of posts you will find times I've thanked you and you have directly or indirectly helped me. However I asked you not to say something, and remember who were writing to me when you used it. There are

Alabama, Thanks for taking the time to answer, however: Point 2A, 2B, 3, 4 and 5 are just software bugs that users should expect will be fixed. I also encourage you to please not use "nazi" in that way. I dont consider that software should require users to "delete the app", or "reinstall windows" or "factory reset your device". Thats just bad code,

  • Re: Site outage: Did any items close on Community Pricing today?

Gabe, I'm still disapoiinted you cant just push these titles back for another week. Most users wont know to look here to learn of this option to buy them for $20. And your first and second answers to my question also are now shown to be incorrect. I think I'll put down the keyboard and walk away before I get really grumpy ...

David, Thanks for your updates around CP. I used to bid high and early on CP, but the problem is that something might race over the line at $40. By hanging back, it can take months or years but we might get it for $15. My Orders page shows over $1,000 pending on the CP items, but in many cases I have low bid because I only want them if they are cheap
You are correct. I still, however, advise to be judicious in downloads.
Alabama, Do you have any sound baisc for that advise? In my view the app needs to work correctly with 5,000 or 10,000 titles if I want to download them all and devote that much of the memory for that purpose. Many users have librarys well over 10

I'm also disapointed because I asked about delaying the Friday noon cutoff on Twitter and the response was "we'll pass that on" yet nothing was done to delay the cutoff! Im sure Bob would have said "No problem we'll take care of that for our customers"
