Unfortunately this does not sound unreasonable. Are you running the Mac Alpha, or the Windows release?

  • Re: L3 and L4

For better or worse, Logos is designed for today's massive hard drives. In the end, I think it is worth it. 1) Why keep L3? a) There are some features which have not been converted over yet b) L4 should find your L3 installation and copy over up to date resources, which should mitigate a bit of your DL time 2) Transfer L4? a) All you have to do is run

  • Re: Reverse Interlinears - Hiding?

The reverse interlinears are now integrated into the main resource. So, to use a RI: Open of the main resource (ESV, NRSV, NKJV, NASB) Look for the "interlinear" button on the bar at the top of the resource. Click it. Now, Logos 4 will display RI information for any selected word. For better or worse, this information does not scroll as you move around
Oh, I see I did not address the question properly. I was referring to future updates after the DVD installed. Thanks for clarifying that Bob.
One of the features of Logos 4 is that it takes care of all the updates without our help. I'm a Beta tester, and I have the current code and got my initial DVD back in the middle

  • Re: Resources not syncing

Unfortunately the initial install does take a bit of hurry up and wait. The notifications are clearer and prettier than they were for the early Betas some of us used, but there is a LOT of work being done behind the scenes to make Logos 4 work. You shouldn't have to tell it to sync. From what I am hearing on these forums, it sounds like the installation

  • Re: Logos 4.0 and PBB's

No, L4 does not read current PBB's. Bob says that this is because PBB's are tied too much into Internet Explorer. He has also said that there will be a future PBB product which will turn them into regular Logos books.

  • Re: Program install location

This is normal behavior, and frankly I haven't messed with it. I suppose it isn't really an issue for us XP users, but it is useful for later versions of Windows because it makes it possible to update without sysadmin rights. Logos 4 is designed to work on the same machine as 3.0f. In fact it has for two months here.
I think I have about 17GB under ../resources . Are most of these resource files usable as is, or do they all have to be upgraded to the new version? I did order the DVD-based upgrade, but that can't have all the resources. Should I expect many days of downloading?
I am assuming that you are talking about LDLS 3

  • Re: Will I lose any resources in the upgrade?
Logos 4 doesn't read old LLS files, but we've got newly built versions of almost all of them. (If you find one we missed, let us know.)
You all keep on saying that, but my Oxford Bible Commentary has been readable since Beta 1. It isn't listed as a commentary in resource type so it doesn't show up in the reports

  • Re: Will I lose any resources in the upgrade?

I have version 4.0, and it has maintained my LLS 2.0, LDLS 2.0, LDLS 2.1, and LDLS 3.0 licences. The only books you should lose are the lbxoeb files (LDLS help files and Personal Book Builder). PBB's should be supported at a later date.

When you first started up Logos 4, it should have asked for your Account name and password. This should be your Logos.com account and password, I believe. When you enter it in, it should connect you with your Logos.com account, which already has a record of everything you have bought from them, as well as any Libronix CD's and DVD's you have activated

  • Re: Logos 4 not working

My best guess is that you haven't logged on to the cloud with your Logos.com account in Logos 4 yet. Also, Logos 4 does not remove version 3. You can run both on the same machine. The Account Management and Upgrade functions should be handled automatically. You can type "Update now" in the command bar if you want to check again. This is probably the
