Logos just crashed again while I was perusing the Mac Console application. Here are the attached logs before restarting Logos but I still don't see a crash log. Console reports this. Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGABRT) Exception Codes: EXC_I386_GPFLT Application Specific Information: abort

I don't remember if I created the log file before or after restarting Logos. What is the correct procedure? When Logos crashes, most of the time I'm not using the program but it is running in the background. I can always get Logos to crash by opening up atlas then hitting "Open in Google Maps".

I've had random crashes over the last few days. Logs attached. 1882.LogosLogs.lankox.20150808-100204.zip

I'll put in my vote for syntax searching.
I am thinking about filling this void by creating a Syntax Searching Playlist on my new YouTube channel. (See signature for link) Will probably start work on it next week. Stay tuned...
That would be great!

I'll put in my vote for syntax searching. This is such a powerful but underutilized resource because of the lack of good training resources.
-
MJ, Thanks for the links. I'll read them tonight. Jack, I just finished Fallahee's video on syntax searching and have been practicing my voodoo, hence the reason for my post. Thanks again.
-
Thanks Jack and Graham for the replies. I don't have Logos Now so that handy search tool is not something I can use right now. To be honest I am more interested in learning how to do syntax searches then finding all the occurrences of the Granville sharp. I have been unable to determine a way to do anarthrous noun searches.
-
I'm trying to build a syntax search for the Granville Sharp rule. Is there anyway to do a search for nouns without an article? Article - Noun - Kai - Noun (no article)
-
Thanks Graham for taking a look. I though that as well (and it makes sense) but if true I'm now left wondering why the following syntax search turns up a different number of hits (547 vs 601)?
-
Looks like there is a bug in clause search that is resulting in double hits. See attached pic.
-
Thanks Mike for the helpful training!

I'm going through Logos Mobile Ed course NT221 and there was a video on using the Bible Facts tool to find distances between cities in Logos 5. This has changed in Logos 6 and it seems for the worse. 1) Running a city search in Factbook results in Atlas maps at the top of the search. These seem to be pretty worthless. Very slow on a top of the line

Thanks for the replies. I can't imagine why Logos would need the dGPU over the iGPU. If there truly is no reason then it would be great if Faithlife made some code changes as I always have Logos open therefore the dGPU is always being used. Here is a quote from Bradley from this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/104050/719466.aspx#719466
-
It seems that Logos activates the dGPU on my MBPr. Is there a reason the dGPU is needed over the iGPU?
-
Thanks for the update. I'm not trying to be snarky but I really hope this doesn't take over 2 months to fix like last time. I know this is a minor issue but it really does cut into my workflow.
-
Thanks for the clarification!
-
Sorry, should have posted that I'm running Mac.
-
When I click in the reference text box, nothing is highlighted and I have to delete everything before I can type in the new reference. This was a bug when Logos 6 was first released, fixed in 6.0b SR-1 and now has returned in 6.2.0.0027.
-
The issue is back with the latest update. Please fix soon!

Shouldn't the following still be listed under the "Known Issues" section?
Known issues lists bugs that are new to this release, not bugs that have been present previously .
Thanks for the clarification Mark.
