• Re: Logos Atlas vs. Accordance

I really wish FaithLife would rethink the user interface for the maps. Keystrokes are great for a user who does the same tasks repeatedly day after day. For them, a CONTROL+F or CONTROL+click is quick, easy and convenient. For the average user, though, they are a barrier. Several comments weren't aware of the features mentioned (me included), which
We try our best to have it both ways: keyboard shortcuts for the power user, and menus or other obvious features for others. The challenge is making the feature you want right now more visible, without making it cluttered for other people who want different features (right now). The Panel menu has "Find (In This Panel)", which

Tes, We all appreciate your comments on the forums, including this thread. I know I do. Don't beat yourself up. You were expressing frustration. It's all good. I think we can go forward in confidence that Faithlife is doing everything that they can and that makes sense.
Thank you Steve for your kind words

  • Re: Logos & FaithLife Why the difference?

I don't feel particularly cheated, because I've been taking advantage of all three deals (Logos, Verbum and Noet). Every now and then there will be a +1 that I simply don't have any interest in, and that happens slightly more often for me on the Verbum side, but I've also gotten some good stuff for dirt cheap. Don't get me wrong - $0.99 is great - but

I just downloaded the new version, and while I haven't fully tested the, it looks like the input fields are working again. Thank you! It's going to help me a great deal in my studies.
Many English dictionaries in our system already have inflected forms of the words in their headword index, which lets a lookup on that form go to the right article already. This is much more accurate than using stemming.

...I'd have to wonder why one of those "inflected

  • Re: Thoughts after week two of the sermon editor

Of course - things change. My grandmother was born in 1905, and died at the age of 108. It makes my head hurt to try and think of all the changes she saw. My comment was more that the software may be oriented towards supporting what most preachers today are doing mos of the time. I do think that a faith based on the Word and the Good News will always

[quote user="MJ. M.J. Thank you for the explanation - that is quite helpful. That's not the language I'm used to, but the focus on faithfully conveying God's word (and not our own) is one that I would hope all Christians could endorse. [quote user="MJ. • Suggestion: Please Help a Student and Fix Multiple Typos in BBH Workbook

I've run into a disturbing number of typos in the Basics of Biblical Hebrew Workbook . I've been reporting many of them as I go along, but it's reaching the point where it's affecting the usability of the resource. They are a particular problem in this book, because they show up in exercises for students (like me). In that setting, users are far less

  • Re: Downgraded?

It might be a bit clunky, but I wonder if this could be solved if instead of listing the highest base package for the current generation of Logos, FaithLife showed the highest base package purchased for each major revision number (e.g., Logos 5 Scholar's, Logos 6 Platinum, Logos 7 Silver). It would make absolutely no difference in what we owned, but

It's discussions like this that make me wonder why FaithLife made the design decision to include news feeds on the Logos homepage. I suspect they found it was technically simple enough with the tools they were using, and it sounded really neat. But it has nothing to do with the core function of the software, and has an outsized capacity to create needless
