  • Trouble Reinstalling Logos 4 on Windows 7-64

Was rebuilding my Windows 7 box and have been unable to get Logos 4 to start after reinstalling... Can not even get to the login screen... I set up a VM to test my installation with, and it works ok, so assume its something with my environment or PC... (HP Pavilion dv6 w/4 Gig) Always seems to log up after " Initializing data type wivu-morph+he. "

  • Re: Virus on Logos 4 install DVDs?

This was response I got from Logos: Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your business. I can assure you that autoexec.inf is not a virus. For some reason Avast! Antivirus has been flagging that one on our DVDs. It is just a file that allows windows to pull up our autorun menus. You can find a support article from microsoft about that file here

  • Virus on Logos 4 install DVDs?

When inserting Logos 4 DVD I ordered to get latest resources without downloading, AVAST said the autoexec.inf on the DVD was infected with status "Threat: INF: AutoRun-gen [Wrm]" which seems to be a USB virus. Files on DVD dated 10/18/2010... Thanks, John

I typically use 3 panes on a wide screen monitor, a NASB in upper left linked to an interlinear ESV below (goes all the way across screen) and an unlinked 2nd NASB (in upper right) for referance scriptures. My tabs support Websters dictionary, Strongs dictionary, New Treasury of Scripture References, a map, my notes, and a commentary. I check the commentary

So it seems scores in the 3.x range offer generally acceptable performance, and scores in the 4.x and above range offer good to excellent performance... Good to know... Thanks all...

  • Windows 7/Vista Rating with Logos 4

Could everyone post their Windows Ratings on their systems along with their subjective Logos 4 experience? My Netbook has a Windows Experience index Rating of 2.0 and it runs ok as a reader, but not so good for creating user data. Gaming Graphics was the lowest factor. My good laptop has a Windows Experience index Rating of 3.0 and it runs great as

I really think it is going to depend on how good your hardware is and what features you need. At this point, the only features I use that are missing in Logos 4 are PBB support and support for sharing user data with other users. PPB support is coming next quarter, and I can (and have) written programs to share user generated data if needed. Hardware

[quote user="MJ. Smith"] Having installed a SQLite browser and dug into the database for notes, I don't believe that importing L3 data was a major consideration. Nor do I believe that multiple databases would slow the system in the current data design. Obviously, I haven't seen the access SQL to see if it is well-formed. And I do agree that as user

The problem is its not just user notes, but all user data combined... Notes actually aren't too bad on performance in the latest build, but its the combinations of everything that is bogging things down for some of us... And faulty queries and/or indexes can ruin performance when a database is involved. I am a DBA and see this all the time... I have

I have come to the conclusion that pretty much any user generated data slows down the system. The more user data, the slower it runs. (Doesn't matter if it is imported or not, importing just increases volume faster...) On an educated guess, it's because user data is being stored in multiple databases instead of just one, the database structures have
