Thanks, I found them distracting as well. Another question. How do I shut off Factbook from opening up every time I click on a word.

Just a thought. Have I accidentally created my own topic guides?

For all you high level users, What is the difference between the "Topic" tab you create when you click on New Tab and scroll down to topic under the guide section, and the "Topic Guide" tab you create when you use the Guides menu bar. They have different icons. The number of guides under the New Tab is crazy long with some guides repeated two or three

Hi, I tried the steps you mentioned but I do not see the sort by reference option. I only see "Date Created", "Date Modified" and "Notebook". Am I doing something wrong?
-
Thanks Graham, that worked. I just upgraded so getting used to where everything is. The notes system is very different but it looks pretty powerful. It seems it will take some getting used to.

When I upgraded to Logos8, a whole section of the Bible text I was making notes on is now highlighted along with corresponding reference books. How do I find which notes or highlights are causing this? I've tried deleting and reentering the notes to no avail.

Has anyone noticed that popups act differently over the last few updates? Here are a few examples. 1. When I float the mouse over a scripture reference, it no longer shows the verse. Is there a way to change that back? 2. When I right click (Win10) over a hyperlink, the menu that opens is really small and often opens on my second monitor not near the

Hello everyone, How customizable is the homepage besides having the two columns? I just updated to 7.14 and my font went really large and I simply have one long list of sidebar items and one long list of content items. It used to split things up to make better use of the screen. -Ken

Please continue to update sermon editor. I found the old sermon file add-in (Logos 4?) easier and more customizable. Unless I haven't figured it out yet it seems pretty clunky still. -points, subpoints, etc. -slides need more flexibility than 1 point per slide. Copying and pasting Bible text without all the footnoting. I understand copyright but not

I agree as well. I don't know if I'm speaking for most, but most of my sermons are for my congregation as they sometimes contain personal or contextual info. I love the idea of publishing a sermon for the public when I want to but I was surprised I had to uncheck a button when I used Sermon Editor for the first time. Sometimes sermons are partially

I agree and hope this becomes a feature soon. I have to manually change the icon when working in different note files.

I just bought a new Win10 computer and am having trouble with Logos 6. Every time I try to rearrange tabs in a window or use Help's "Explain this screen" my entire Logos program minimizes and I end up on the Windows opening screen. Any suggestions or settings I can change to help Logos function correctly would be appreciated.

Thanks Graham, I think your right about the environment. I seem to be using the notes like everyone else. I use Logos at home and work and have good internet connections at both. My PC seems to sync fine to the cloud but it takes days for those notes to sync to my ipad. Ken

I have 250 pages in that one document.
-
David, I am having the same problem with my ipad taking a long time to sync. Did you ever discover an answer?
-
Hi, Thanks for continuing up on this with me. I only have 18 documents. Most of my notes are attached to Bible passages and are all in one note document. I would have hundreds of notes in that one document. My other documents are more specific and hold a smaller number of notes each. Ken

Thanks Paul, I have done that a few times. Everything seems to sync up immediately when I reinstall the app. but then it slows down again. The main program on my PC seems to sync to the logos cloud fine but the app is having trouble keeping in sync with it. Is there a way to force a sync on the ipad app?
-
Yes I have quite a few note files and some of them are several paragraphs long. Maybe I am using notes more extensively than it is capable of doing. I used to use the old sermon filer but that has been discontinued.

My syncing does eventually happen, but can take days. By "completely" I mean I am doing more than just closing the window on the ipad. When you close an app on the ipad, it actually keeps running until you go in and close the program right down. That's all I meant by that. I have updated to the latest on both platforms so I don't know what is happening
