  • Suggestion: "Jesus and the Kingdom of God," by G.R. Beasley-Murray

I took a number of New Testament courses under Dr. G.R. Beasley-Murray and have many of his books in print form but would be thrilled to hear of plans to make them available in Logos versions, especially "Jesus and the Kingdom of God," and his volume on Revelation.

Having not received the explanatory email/coupon code, or a response to a query about the email, I'm nagging one more time. Feeling frozen out by more than our northern Alberta weather.

  • Re: For those that have used Logos for a while...a question

I mainly utilize Logos on my MacBook, and on my iPad. I use Logos for searches, study, and reading but I also have a smaller collection of hardcover and paperbacks in a few bookcases. I mainly hang on to certain volumes that have sentimental value or are not duplicated in Logs. For example some of my "real" books were signed by the author in seminary

  • Re: I thank the LORD for Logos because...

I'm very grateful for Logos as I've been able to greatly reduce the number of paperbacks and hardcovers that have to be packed in future moves. Reading off a screen was a bit of a transition for me (as was the switch to progressive bifocals) but it's my preference now. The information available in a few clicks was a huge search formerly, with books

  • Re: Is it worth it to buy WBC now or should I wait? Also best place to view videos about how to get the most out of Logos.

My experience with WBC is that the quality is not consistent across every every volume and that there is more value in purchasing the better volumes individually when they come on sale. Some people like sets, and I have purchased a couple of them, but I generally prefer to focus on individual volumes that come well recommended in reviews. There may

  • Re: Essential Upgrades Questions

The large essential upgrade seemed like a nice offer to me so I purchased it. It comprised the extended feature set plus additional volumes including the IVP NT commentaries, the Hebrew grammar you mentioned, an extensive collection of generic sermon outlines, Goppelt's NT Theology volumes, Goldingay's OT Theology trilogy, and some others.

  • Re: ICC $19.99 a volume good deal?

Monthly sales on various volumes may run less but I couldn't pass up R. H. Charles on Revelation. The I. Howard Marshall volume is also tempting me.

  • Re: Which Package to Start With

I agree with other advice given, especially Gao's, that the standard library with specialized additions is a good way to go. I don't know if the educational discount is stackable with other discounts such as the current one of 20% off but it's worth enquiring about. If I'd had Logos when I attended Southeastern Baptist Seminary I think I'd have benefitted

I'd had Logos 8 Academic Professional so version 9 of the same was not a steep upgrade. I was happily surprised to find that it included Hermeneia, and bought it immediately as I wondered about the possibility that the collection might be revamped as collections sometimes are. I logged out of the Logos site just to check, and as you said, it's been

  • Re: OFF TOPIC: Digital Ebooks versus Print

I have shifted my library, incrementally, to a digital one. I recently hit the tipping point where I mostly rely on digital and feel like I'm accustomed enough to work with it. Dead tree readings are still more pleasant but I can't argue with the searchability, and portability, of a digital library. My wife is happy that I'm able to cull books from
