• Re: Authorized - New on Faithlife TV!

Informative and interesting video that portrays the gist of the book, which I just finished reading. Mark Ward does good work. The book certainly more detailed than the video, of course, and I strongly recommend the book. However, I thought the tones of the book and video were quite different. The book was enjoyable to read with humor, kindness, fairness

Those links are all nice, but they contain a version of the graphic with the Faithlife watermark.

  • Re: When did "Reverend" come into use?

I probably shouldn't wonder about this but do anyway, and I can't yet think of a Logos search to find it; but what if a congregation has The Very/Most/Right Reverend female Reverend? What is the official title then? This link indicates that the head of some Anglican Communions would have someone called The Reverend Mother. In my opinion, my wife would

  • Re: Bible verse art problem

After years of collecting media art (I Love it) I finally abandoned doing so after the nasty new-layout annoyance (why on earth do that?) The Good news: Although slow loading, the media did load for me and was really nice--well worth keeping.

Your NT Exegesis prof is right. You will NOT regret having the IVP OT & NT Dictionaries.
There were other organizational limitations that I had seen that were addressed in v8 that I was excited about except they don’t work and then things that did work are either gone or now don’t work. I understand they res working on the fixes but maybe they should have delayed for another six months And got it better

  • Re: Why was Logos 8 Released?

You are so right that the notes can still be impoved a great deal and I understand Logos is doing so. On the other hand, Logos 8 is so much faster and better in many ways that it was well worth releasing. It really is much better more refined than a Beta. The Notes, for all their major improvements, need some work as you said. If the problems are bothersome

  • You get 30 Notebooks and no more and no "more."

Re: Tools | Notes | Notebook (limit 30 notebooks) In the Notes Tool, the Notebook Facet provides a few notebooks along with "more." But once 30 Notebooks appear, no more appear and there is no more any "more." Unless you know the name of a notebook and search for it, there is no way to browse for a Notebook. Ick. I suggest we get more "more" to keep

  • Oops. Missed.

NLT Gen 37:19 Label icons miss the beginning of the quote. And again (someone is a bad shot!): An don't miss the total miss here...the labels not only missed the bullseye, they didn't even hit the bale of hay.

Are there others who miss L7?
Not me! Lovin' it daily.
I am loving L8 too. Way better even than L7. The homepage, not so much, but owell, who really needs it anyhow? Just bypass the leeks and garlics of L7 there and live happily ever after.

  • Re: Free DCC book comes up as .99 at Faithlife ebooks

Perhaps good-hearted Christians make mistakes and we don't have to take advantage of that to save 99 cents. I once got too-good of a deal from Logos through a sale-agent. I think (?) it was a mistake, but never really knew what happened at Logos internally. Logos honored that deal, and although I was appreciative, I never felt completely good about

  • Re: What version of the Bible are you planning to read in 2019?

2018: LEB last year with NKJV and NIV for reference as well as BKC and NBC as side dishes. 2019: NLT. I am not a fan of it, so this is a spiritual discipline, and so far I am enjoying it very much. Alongside, I am reading devotional commentaries--presently "Opening Up Genesis" by K. Sttassner and ECB (Eerdman's) as a side dish.
