• Re: Help, I'm a newbie who just opened Logos and I'm already lost

Nice graphic. How about adding another branch where someone just wants to read some books/resources? Logos does two things for me, one is great Bible study software, the other is a massive digital library. I now regularly use a full-screen floating Library pane, viewing various books/resources as tabs in that pane, independently of Bible study. What
Never had an issue picking one from Logos.com. Bundles are excluded which is what I would expect and would lead to a difference in numbers between the two sites. I have seen plenty of examples on these forums over the years where FL customer service gives out the wrong information because internally the left hand has not idea

FL Support replied to my email: "Yes, only some courses are eligible to be used with the coupon code provided. Please make sure to choose from this list and not change the filters on the left hand side as this will add on resources that do not qualify for the code." It's a shame that the course I was waiting for isn't on the list. Aw well. I'll just
If the course shows as a bundle (3 courses) then the code won’t work, because it has 3 so it’s not considered as one. That happened to me last time I tried a course showing in the benefits but it was a bundle not a single course.

I’ve never been restricted on what course I can choose

Works for me on the free books. Problem, though, is that the code code for the free course doesn't work. Is there a limitation on which courses the code will work for, just like there is a restricted set on which the free books code will work?

Hi Joe, I didn't get round to trying the beta version in the end. But I have noticed something that might be of interest. It is that when I try to scroll, if I press on an area of the screen which is white (e.g. in between paragraphs of text) nothing happens. But if I press where there is text, it works fine. That workaround of making sure that I touch
I've given this some thought since I first read your post yesterday. I used to have quite a large collection of personal books that I would lend out to people with whom I was ministering. I would say "This is something you should read" and lend them a copy from my library. I knew that the chance of them ever purchasing it
I'd favour an approach for beginning users where that would guide them through the process of choosing the right tool, something like this: What do you want to study today? (you'd enter the topic, lemma, person, thing, event, etc.) Do you want all the information at once or a step-by-step study? (guide/factbook or workflow

I have three monitors, with multiple windows in the second and third monitors. All the Logos windows themselves are saved, but the layout of the windows is not. I have the main window maximised on the first (middle) screen, with the other windows snapped to right or left halves of the second and third screens. Only the main monitor window position is

Hi Susan, There is an interesting article in Evangelical Missions Quarterly, July 1986 on the topic of 'brownout', which describes an often longer-term near-burnout state which where someone is still functional to some degree, while neither completely burnt out nor coping well with their situation.
I don't have any volumes in the Catholic Scripture Study series. It looks difficult to classify, although judging from the preview I think it would have to be expository. (I've been thinking about whether 'theological' commentaries need a category of their own.) But if you can let me know the exact series name, I can include

Hi Mark, I've finally got round to upgrading to use your collection documents. Thanks for your work on those. I have come across several commentaries that don't seem to fit in any of yours. Could you consider these when you are next updating your lists? Exalting Jesus series, currently listed as monographs. Romans: Deliverance from Wrath by Zane Hodges

  • Re: Why are the hyperlinks showing up in copied article from Logos in Word 2013?

Depending on your keyboard, you will need to press either the function key on its own, or Fn + Function key. On older laptops the function keys did not need any other keys to be pressed to get them to work as function keys, while they changed function (e.g. volume up, volume down) if another key modified their use. It is more common now for volume,

What type of keyboard are you using? Is it a standard large format standalone keyboard that is used with a PC, or are you using a laptop? If using a laptop, might you need to press the Fn key also to get the function keys to work properly?

Hi Charlene, I can still use Ctrl + Shift + F9 with Word 2016 on Windows 10 without a problem. Might it be a background utility that remaps function keys, or are function keys assigned to other functions within Word on your computer? I had that problem once when I had reassigned rarely used keys using AutoHotKey.
