  • Re: Discrepancy between print and Logos editions of Rahlfs-Hanhart Septuaginta

I can only add that the "Septuagint with Logos Morphology" is Rahlfs, not Rahlfs-Hanhart. My understanding of the differences — which may be totally wrong — is that the text of R & R-H is virtually identical (with perhaps one change in Isaiah, but I don't recall where?) but the apparatus is updated/corrected/expanded and primarily where

Also, the different modes and types and contexts tagged by the data set are documented in the interactive's "About" pane. Not optimal, but that's where it is for now. Here's list for easy reference; these can be used in the "Label" portion of the search (like: "{Label Speech WHERE Context = "Theophanic" AND Content = "Petition"}): Type: The type of

Hi Rob. If you have the "Speaking to God" dataset (and interactive), then you can locate all of the places where "Moses" speaks with God with a search like: {Label Speech} INTERSECTS {Speaker <Person Moses>} If you are specifically looking for prayer of Moses to God, you can search for speech with the mode of "prayer": {Label Speech WHERE Mode

Hi Kirk. If the keyboards work at the OS level (you can use them in other applications) then I'd suppose they should work just fine in Logos as well.

  • Re: Anyone with Holmes' Apostolic Fathers in Logos can confirm which edition it is?

It is the 2nd edition, but note the Greek text in the Logos version was created around the same time that Holmes was about to publish the 3rd edition. We provided some typo reports in the Greek to him, and he confirmed they were issues and also provided some additional typos and corrections. So the Greek text in the Logos edition of Holmes is fairly

Hi Dr. Kime. Thanks for this note. The resource you're using ("Septuaginta: Morphologically Tagged Edition") is, unfortunately, kind of caught in a no-man's land. The information goes all the way back to Logos 2 (and even CDWord). It is the CCAT morphology from UPenn, but it is an older form that they no longer maintain, and because it is content we

Hi Reuben. I have a version of the data internally that only returns 114 hits for text segements that include both Meteg and Sof Pasuq. Examples include the final text segments in Gen 4:22 and Gen 6:19 and 20. I'm assuming this is a much better version of the data and rather than work on the remaining 114 (assuming they're incorrect?) I will instead

I have a version of the data that returns 44 hits for your first error query, and no hits for your second error query. I believe the 44 hits are in multi-text-segment instances that I'll need to think
