Thanks Mike!

This is the only question I'm interested in with Logos 9. Especially with more resources, is it noticeably different? Any of the heavier users want to comment (e.g. with 10k books or more?)

Hi all - I wanted to research what different models there were for spirituality in Christendom. As a Protestant evangelical, i'm particularly interested in these areas (and perhaps if I had read all of Dallas Willard's books, I might already have an answer!). I was looking for something that might begin with basic disciplines let's say, Bible reading

Ok - thanks for the clarifications guys. Yes, I think I might just remove them all.

Hi guys - just seeking to remove a lot of Perseus materials from my Library as I don't use them and was thinking how to do that. I guess one idea is asking Logos to remove that collection. Another would be to hide them. Is that what happens when you choose to "remove them from this device" or is that a third option? Thanks for the clarification! Paul
That would explain it - the Interactive was introduced as a paid option in Logos 7.
Ah ok, thanks Graham good to know. Even if I can't afford each upgrade, perhaps this is a helpful reminder that every 2-3 versions I should pay for a Bronze upgrade or something similar. As for the Carson and Beale commentary, it

I have bought Logos Silver before as well as other upgrades but have done the last 2 versions on free...

Thank you both, but unfortunately, I don't think I have that resource.

Hi all - I thought the question above would be useful as I do an overview of Leviticus - but actually I thought the question would be really useful for any book. I was just thinking about explicit quotations. I had thought allusions would be something that would be too hard to find however Don Carson's book "Commentary of the NT use of the OT" has an

Thank you these suggestions both of you. I've spent 2-3 hours coding some collections and then setting my final as type:commentary -(various series I have) and seem to be picking up the few that I've as yet unassigned which is great. Thank you both!

I have split my commentaries up a while ago into various types (comm_technical, comm_intermediate, sermons etc) and regularly use an adapted passage guide to search through my commentaries. However, some new ones I forget to label and put in. I currently have my commentary guides set up to explicitly include certain series or books. Is it possible to

4477.LogosCrash.zip Logos has crashed a couple of times but this one was the easiest to replicate. this comes when looking at the Passage Analysis tool. Any help welcome. Thank you! :)

What makes Logos faster a) Installing Windows on ordinary HDD and Logos on SSD b) Installing Windows on SSD and Logos on HDD i don’t have space to do both unfortunately

Thanks Mark - yes I have 1 visual filter that I use and it does slow things down so I will turn that off. And thanks Philana for the advice on how to record a log, I'll consider doing that. At the moment, I'm working on some general Windows hacks that are helping (removing transparency from windows and other fancy stuff, editing Virtual Memory, both

Thank you for your helpful comments Dave. I bought my computer just under 3 years ago and SSD health is high - 95% according to the check I did. However, my notes+highlights come to 18k so that could be the issue. I'll work on optimising my OS in the meantime. Thanks to the other person for the comment of connecting to the internet. I hadn't thought

Notes, I have 7000. Highlights, 10k and growing as I've started colouring in a Bible in multi-colours which will keep that rising. If that's likely to slow Logos 8 down dramatically, that's good to be aware of. However, this problem wasn't there in Logos 7 so it seems it's particular to Logos 8... Computer specs: 240Gb SSD HD (used 70% of it) Processor

Ah - brilliant thanks Mark! :)

I have been reading through Genesis and noticed that the names of God are quite interesting at various points. Having read Gen 34 about Dinah's rape, it was striking that God's name was not mentioned once - and given the act and the response, it makes sense why not. I wondered if this was the only chapter in Genesis where God's name was not mentioned

This is just a plea for speeding up notes. Adding notes does not normally take me 143 seconds as it did this last time but one in five times, it does take more than 10 secs. This seems really quite long even if I had an ancient computer, with 50 programs open (neither of which is true). This causes problems in two ways: 1) when I come to copying notes

Hi all - when I open the Web App, it remembers the last documents I had open - which is great - however the Bible translation ESV it always then adds in inline the manuscript (transliterated) and the Lemma despite me turning them off each time I use it. I'm sure I'm missing a simple way to get rid of it but can't think how. Any thoughts welcome!
