  • Re: Is Logos 8 an improvement?

I'm just a civilian (non-minister/student/teacher) user but I will say yes. Although I have only started looking into workflows they look promising to me. The library sidebar will come in handy. The new datasets i look forward to checking out. I can be somewhat jaded however as I view my bible software as some people view their cars or computer....

  • Re: sale reps

Yeah that would make sense. I’m a civilian so rather second class in that regard which might explain why I’ve learned to just order on my own when I need something.

  • Re: Logos 7 layouts

So I found them here, where arrow is pointing. That opens up then scroll down and you should see your previous layouts if I understand the question correctly.

  • sale reps

So, is there any value in chatting (online or on phone) with the sales reps? I mean, if I put upgrade in my card then that is the lowest price I can get I assume. In my limited experience when I engage a sales rep they offered to sweeten the deal by offering something additional at a discounted price but the end result is that the upgrade cost was the

  • NIVAC Psalms Vol 2

According to Amazon this comes out on Sept 4th. I imagine that does not mean it will be available in Logos on that day because they have to do their thing with it. Does anyone know if/when this will be available in Logos?

  • Quick question about layouts

I am sure this has been asked many times. I tried searching but website says there was a problem. Anyway I was curious if there was a way to change the layout that opens when you use the "Enter passage or topic" box? Thanks

  • I bought one!

i bought a March Madness commentary set today! I am one of those lay people who has been with Logos for awhile. I don’t have a massive collection as it is for my own enjoyment and growth but I love the software and hope it always has a download and own option. Anyway, I looked at samples of them and I even own a volume or two of NICNT. But while

  • Re: are purchased resources always available to download/redownload if for some reason license is lost by Logos?

Yes that helps a lot, thank you. I know that with some resources with many pics there are times where pics are missing due to licensing but the fear of resource being yank away was worrisome. Im just a civilian (lay guy) who is considering buy one of the heavily discounted commentary sets and wanted to be sure I’m safe. Thanks again

  • are purchased resources always available to download/redownload if for some reason license is lost by Logos?

For instance, Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds used to be available as a full set with al volumes both OT and NT. That is no longer available. The full OT set is by itself buy vol 2 (of a 4 volumes) from the NT set can no longer be purchased. The assumption being that somehow Logos lost the license. So, if someone bought that book or the entire

  • Re: A Question about the Life Application Bible Commentary Series

That's interesting. I was curious, since both LABC and NIVAC are on sale, how similar are these resources? In other words is the commentary for a given set of passages basically the same between the two? I cannot determine that with the screen shot as they cover slightly different passages. Anyone have an opinion on this? thanks

  • Re: Bible Dictionaries/Encyclopedia - Very pleased with purchase but one question about Anchor Yale

The AYBD certainly looks like a good one based upon a few times that someone posts an article from it. If you can get it at the 40% discount I would do it. Us lay people can only look in envy as it is $269 for us.

  • question about sync between desktop version and iPad version

Specifically, if I read to a particular point in a book on my desktop version (windows) and shutdown the program should it sync to where I left off when I open Logos and the book on my iPad? I ask because that does not seem to be happening and I do not know if it is supposed to do so. thanks
