Wilson, I don't think anyone was offended by your post...I think that they were having a bit of fun and forgot the smileys; that's all I thought your first post was well thought out and well said.
Yeah, I don't even know how to make smileys. (That's why I put the parenthetical statement that my comments were humor
I share your frustration and as a long time Logos user and supporter I have a deep sense of betrayal.
Betrayal? When you wife has sex with your best friend, that's betrayal. A software company not meeting your (possibly unrealistic) expectations isn't even in the same time zone with 'betrayal'. Good grief, people

Today I opened L3 so I could print from the Reverse Interlinear ESV (I haven't found the easy way to do that in L4 yet). While there, I started to do some writing for my SS lesson. Having used L4 on-and-off for the past month or so, I'm already finding L3 a bit frustrating to use compared to the new features in L4. Not that L3 is bad, but some of the
So how did everyone get introduced to Logos? What do you think could be done to get it into the hands of more people? Currently, when I click on the next reading in my Bible Reading Plan, I get the Passage Guide, Information page, etc. I would like the plan to open to a full-screen layout of the Bible version I've chosen. I set it up like I wanted, and saved the layout as, 'Bible Reading Plan'. But when I click on a reading down the road, and it opens with all the
I'm thinking about purchasing these, anyone have these yet? And if so can you give me a mini-review? The problem with printed resources is, they

In other words, I get the basic idea of the chart, that different versions are closer in translation
I would suggest waiting until mid-2010, when all the features are back in and most of the bugs are shaken out, and then you'll still be able to use L3 and L4 in parallel while you go through the learning curve.
Is there a risk that the upgrade price may increase, or not be available by next summer? I don't know.

Interesting, and lucid, observation. On the one hand, I understand the frustration of the consumer; the software is expensive. On the other hand, I agree with Logos' strategy to release the product with some unfinished business in it, in order to make it available and finish it out as a work in progress. And I can imagine the frustration on their side

I went to the upgrade page at http://www.logos.com/upgrade. It tells me a price to upgrade from my Gold L4 to Platinum and Portfolio L4. I'm considering Platinum because I'll get two or three items I'm considering buying anyway, and they would cost about 70% of the cost of the upgrade, but my question is, how long will the price shown on this page be
Not to mention a funny Avatar.
I guess I don't get all the cool stuff (must be too old). I thought Avatar was a cartoon my kids watch, and I don't know how to make the smiley things except for the keyboard kind. I'm sure it's simple, but I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe I need to hang out in forums more.
