Wise choice, brother. If I hadn't already invested several thousand dollars into Logos, I'd certainly jump to a monthly subscription as well.

I only have a couple of salient points of advice for my younger self. 1. Stop spending money on QuickVerse and buy Logos instead. 2. Stop upgrading my Logos base package, and only buy resources that I want/need and will use. Those bloated base packages that are full of books that have zero usefulness to me are only valuable as a meaningless bragging

What a wonderful Christmas present! Please pass along my appreciation and admiration for an outstanding update to an excellent resource!

This is GENIUS, and represents a significant amount of work. I thank you on behalf of our community of users.

Congratulations on your new machine!

Myke, 1, You've already hit upon the largest speedup component: an SSD. 2, Your next bottleneck is which CPU to choose. This year has been very good for competition between AMD and Intel, so you can get great deals on either an AMD Ryzen or Threadripper CPU, also Intel CPUs are decreased in price. For the money, I'd buy at least a 7th generation Core

Definitely call and speak to sales. I was told by an unnamed salesperson there that they are authorized to give up to a 10% discount. However, the current base package upgrade is a 20% discount, so right this very minute you'd get the best deal by beating the deadline on that 20% deal.
Sorry but I’m saving my pennies for Adrian Rogers‘s sermon archive and features for Logos 8 next year 👍😁👌
I'm hopeful that last quarter sales at Faithlife will include the Adrian Rogers sermon archive... at a steep discount. $350 is out of reach for me, but something below $200 seems reasonable and affordable

I also raised my bid to $21. Let's hope that the combination of higher bids among those who are already convinced, and raising awareness on the forums will bear fruit... on purpose.
Thanks Mark, which commentaries do you use?
Michael, It depends on which book of the Bible I'm teaching/preaching, and which commentaries I have that pertain to that particular book. I have a few reliable series that I rely on a good bit: NAC and PNTC for instance, also Kevin Wuest's stuff in the NT is reliable
IWhat resources do you use or suggest to use in a layout designed for study in preparation for expository preaching.
Michael, I am primarily an expository preacher/teacher, and I use the same layout for each book of the Bible I teach/preach through (currently in a series through the prison epistles and just starting
Yep nothing like doctrine based on a teenage girl from the 1830's and drawings to boot.
I love a good sense of humor! I mean, unless you were attempting that difficult left-handed knuckleball of sarcasm. ( <-- case in point)
For the sake of comparison, the entire series @ WS is $499 as of this writing with individual volumes costing $15 each.
While we're on the subject, I just upgraded to WS 11 AND bought the POSB volume on Galatians - Colossians because I'm teaching through the Prison Epistles. Very pleased with it so far!
Agreed! I recently added Accordance as my third Bible software and it's doable. Logos #1, WS #2 and Accordance #3. I might move Accordance to number 2 since it's more polished and right behind Logos in cool features and functionality. DAL
I like the way you think! I haven't done more than look at Accordance videos yet, but

I have wanted this series since I first saw it at a Bible conference a very long time ago. Unfortunately, unless FL bundles it with something really good that I just-gotta-have, it is unlikely to ever be within reach. My advice is to do what I do: keep watching WS and FL sales, and forsake allegiance to any particular Brand Name Bible Software (yes

I don't have the print copies, and so didn't realize that there were any to be missed. I love Larkin's stuff and

Neat tip! Thanks bro.
I would recommend "The Genesis Flood" by John Whitcomb and Henry Morris. I have sent several emails to FL in hopes that they'll add this resource one day but they have not. Excellent book on the global flood and recommended by many YECs including John MacArthur.
I owned this excellent resource for years but gave it away
